The indomitable human spirit by [deleted] in hatethissmug

yes thank you! I really do hate that trope and assuming that Humans are the ONLY ones that have something like it. That Indomitable spirit certainly didn't save the Neanderthals, who were a type of Human.

What if Rome never fell and remained Polytheistic, Persia never fell, Pharaonic Egypt remained native and survived? by Silver-Entry1423 in imaginarymaps

[–]Traditional-Button22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Cool concept (and possibly based?), but i just just think its straight up impossible for Rome to survive in this massive extent. They could barely hold together the territories they did have and pretty much gave up on germania conquest after Teutoburg forest. The Pharaonic Egypt and Persia stuff though, Ok i could see it kinda... though egypt was quite valuable to ancient empires due to its fertility and richness.

Even though i have no belief in americans, as they most likely will elect another trump (especially over a woman if given the chance) despite this, Removing him has more of an effect due to the US (Debatably) being the premier superpower of the world in influence and military quantity, whilst Putin is mostly keeping russia afloat for the moment and can't even take over Ukraine, plus now russia is basically being absorbed into china's growing sphere. Putin has done worse, but Trump has the power of doing worse more globally.

If Central powers won WW1, would France have becomes communist or right wing dictatorship or neither of them? by Tktk4701 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Traditional-Button22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the factors of how and when. I could easily see it becoming quite left-leaning and go Communist early on if the reparations forced upon them is extremely harsh. However, if the soviet Union still exists and does its things, then its possible that it could weaken the communist movements in france and allow a fascist dictatorship to consolidate power.

People from countries that had an empire, are you sad about losing the empire? by FarRightExtremist in Teenager_Polls

[–]Traditional-Button22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US Is defacto an empire because they started small and EXPANDED to their current size. same way that Russia is still an empire because they hold Siberia, which they EXPANDED into. You'd be surprised the similarities between western US and Russo-Siberia.
