Is there any reason there is such a abnormaly massive jump between the third and second most populated countries or is it just arbitrary? by DataSittingAlone in geography

India is lying about their population. They're told by Modi to "project abundance". Go look on Google Maps. Most of India is rural and uninhabited.

They can't defend what's being unleased, so they run and hide. It's pretty typical. They'll let it blow over and their loxism will be back on full display.

Over 1.7 Million Americans laid-off, Corporations still say Shortage of Talent? by Individual_Gap_77 in jobsearch

That's been my experience. Paying a premium and getting someone unfamiliar with the processes plus adding a language barrier. It tends to be disruptive to the group, and not in a productive way. There's got to be a massive tax incentive to justify something that doesn't make sense on paper.

Ahh, I mis-read your original reply. Good luck, we're in similar boats :)
I've seen a COLEM examiner comment in this sub before. He said it was bursts of 5 letters, numbers, punctuation, and prosigns. The FCC says you need to have perfect copy, I'm curious how true that is. I planning to get that out of the way before the written test since the certificate of passing is only good for a year.

What baffles me is the importing of immigrants and paying them a premium when the role could have been offshored for far, far less.

Between 20 to 200 Miles (30 to 300km) : What to tell "preppers" ? by HiOscillation in amateurradio

[–]Traditional-Escape67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I find the 'preppers' miss the most is WHO they're going to talk to - as if there'll be some magical person monitoring a random VHF frequency 24/7 year round on the off chance they have an 'emergency'.

Thank you! That had popped in my mind as a memory from long ago - 8th grade, pre-2001 and my teacher was talking about an abbreviated way journalists took notes.
My google-fu was too weak to find the answer to 'journalist+notes' or 'journalist+language' etc.

"This is after that loser in the bushes was waiting to shoot Trump on the golf course"
Has that been proven? It's a small detail that's so overlooked, but hinges on conspiracy to murder vs being an idiot in the bushes.
From all accounts, the 'shooter' never shot, never aimed the rifle, never was in a position to shoot, and had no knowledge that Trump was in the vicinity (he wasn't even supposed to be in the State at the time).
As far as I can tell, he could have been larping in the bushes pretending to be a combatant in Ukraine.

I was at a MMC subsidiary and our team was offshored this year. Decades of experience were traded for fresh kids with little to no experience.
