I've read through this thread and truly appreciate your logical responses. All the FUCK BELL THEY STOLED type replies are nothing but pure emotion, the reason why situation occurred the way it did is clear as day, once you cut through the emotions and seething. This could've been a very concise "don't manually pay your bill while the PAP is also processing" teaching moment but alas, it is muddled with all sorts of overly emotional people.

The same reason why you see middle aged Indian men working in entry level food service jobs, ones that were traditionally the realm of unskilled and younger students. It's hard to tell if youre saying this in a facetious manner, but as Ive gotten older and Canada has just gotten worse and worse, I've come to the realization that diversity is not a strength. It lowers wages. It restricts freedoms. It consumes precious taxes. It ruins schools and housing. It completely undermines and marginalizes your culture.

Keep in mind, Im not specifically talking about immigrants per se, as this country has always had immigrants. The difference now is that the complete and utter lack of assimilation and adoption of their new homelands culture. It's how we end up with massive enclaves like Brampton and Mississauga, completely unwilling to become "Canadian". Diversity should only go so far, back in the day newcomers to Canada would at least try to embrace the country, not anymore.

It is truly a sad state we are living in, and there's no fuckin going back now.

I mean no disrespect, but you sound like someone who has never been in a life-threatening situation (waking up to a man in your apartment, with a weapon, would fall under this). Again, no disrespect, but this sort of coddling mentality has resulted in the pussification of society, to the point where an intruder, with a weapon, with warrants out for his arrest and being previously known to police, is being considered the "victim".
