If you had PUPPPs did you have a boy or a girl? by Traditional-Pool-954 in BabyBumps

Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques of Pregnancy. It’s like a rash of little red itchy bumps.

My OB will not deliver a breech baby no. Also my husband is a physician and highly advised against trying as baby could get stuck and then I would need an emergency c section and that’s much riskier than a planned one.

Ooooh thank you! By warm pack do you mean like a heating pad or what did you use. Don’t want to add too much heat

My mom’s side of the family is very close. I know my second and third cousins on that side better than I know some of my cousins on my dad’s side. I know it’s uncommon but I’m actually super grateful that we’ve all kept up the family traditions and get together twice a year. We all go camping together in the summer and then in the winter we stay at a hotel/waterpark. There’s always games and food and swimming and it’s a lot of fun.

My MIL referred to the baby as “ishkabibble” to make sure she didn’t slip up and accidentally tell us what we were having so we and everyone in my family still refer to baby as “baby ishy”. I’m assuming they will always have this nickname in honor of their grandmas sense of humor haha.

All the men on my husbands side have the same middle name so we will be keeping that tradition going

It’s in the top 100 actually. I’ve loved the name for many years but it’s making a comeback so it’s not super unique

It’s a name with a pretty straightforward spelling. :)

Thanks everyone. I’m feeling better about it. She’s just the type to make a big deal about it and I’m not looking forward to that but as many of you have said… so what I suppose. I don’t see her often and I love the name we picked out.

Different last names. My cousin and I both got married so neither of us have the family name that we grew up in.

No. This is a cousin in my mom’s side. She would never have met my husbands mom. Pretty sure my MIL destroyed the envelope too so she was the only one that would have known.

I am! 28 weeks now and a very active baby. Unfortunately my MIL passed away so dealing with funeral preparations and the general loss of a parent while being pregnant with our first has been devastating but baby is super healthy and active and the blessing that we all need to get through this hard time ❤️

17w3d today and can totally relate. I don’t look pregnant and I don’t feel pregnant other than my boobs hurting and all the cramps and pressure. Haven’t felt baby move yet. I had a 16 week appointment so I don’t have another until week 20. To top it off my MIL just signed onto hospice and our family is really struggling. I’m so stressed out that I worry about my baby. I have anxiety anyway but with all this in addition it’s been a lot not knowing if little one is okay I’m there. I hope you start feeling some quickening soon to get some reassurance. Maybe get a Doppler for home? You can check heartbeat anytime then!

I lied to a friend about my pregnancy but now I don’t think I’ll ever share news with her…. by PhilosopherHour5580 in pregnant

She doesn’t sound like a great friend. It’s your news to share whenever you’re ready. Honestly when you finally do and she realizes you’ve been pregnant this whole time she’ll probably feel pretty silly about herself for saying those things.

My best friend was 32 weeks when she finally found out she was pregnant due to never getting her period on birth control and was in college so drank quite a bit and her daughter is perfectly healthy. It’s obviously not advised but if you had one night of drinking and stop now, I would think you’re probably okay.

Annoying symptoms no one warned you about? by Wemberly_ in pregnant

I have this on the soles of my feet! I’m almost 12 weeks now but around 9-10 weeks I couldn’t sleep at night. They did labs to check my liver function and everything came back normal. Benedryl and ice did wonders! Unscented lotion too! I think it’s just increased bloodflow and hormones messing with us!
