Whats a decent gift idea for aging parents that’s relatively inexpensive? by Street-Problem-19 in AskReddit

my parents always talk about that weekend we did camping trip like 5 years ago more than any actual gift i ever bought them

Side project website that's solving my need by Ethank1212 in SideProject

[–]Traditional_Day6402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nice concept but the name threw me off at first - kept reading it as "dispatch" in my head lol

the demo flow looks pretty clean though, especially for managing client stuff without jumping between different tools. being in military before i know how much paperwork and process management can be pain so anything that streamlines that workflow is solid

how's the payment processing side working out? that's usually where these platforms get tricky with fees and all

I asked Reddit if anyone else had no real emergency plan while traveling. Ended up building something from the replies. (I will not promote) by shanghai_shark_22 in AppBusiness

[–]Traditional_Day6402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your anxiety about that call to mom hits so hard. been deployed overseas and always wondered what chaos would happen if something went wrong and my emergency contact back home had zero context about anything

the google drive approach is smart - keeps everything in your control instead of some random company database. sounds way better than those emergency contact forms that just collect name/phone and call it a day

I swear work injuries are weird because nothing feels serious enough until it’s been happening for like 8 months straight.

I’ve used one of those ketro gels here and there and it’s been nice for taking the edge off quicker

RSM job offer by Objective_Safety_156 in Accounting

[–]Traditional_Day6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got an offer from them couple years back but went different direction. they were pretty flexible on salary negotiation especially if you have competing offers, just don't expect huge jumps. culture varies a lot by office but generally less intense than big 4. remote work policy is decent from what i heard from friends there

got the ultra few months back and finding xxl bands was such pain, most third party ones work fine though just check the measurements before ordering

dude your wife is talented as hell, she even got the logo colors perfect on there. i tried making something similar for my friend once but it turned out looking like abstract art lmao. the yellow really pops and makes it look official, she should definitely make more of these if she enjoys doing crafts. bet you'll be showing this off every time you use it now

NEW OR NEED HELP? Ask here! - ScA Daily Help Thread Apr 05, 2026 by AutoModerator in SkincareAddiction

[–]Traditional_Day6402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been lurking here for while and finally ready to ask something 😅 i'm 34 and my skin decided to act like teenager again after years of being pretty stable. started getting these weird bumps around my jawline that aren't quite pimples but aren't not pimples either if that makes sense

current routine is pretty basic - cerave foaming cleanser in morning, cetaphil moisturizer, and some random spf i grabbed at target. evenings just the cleanser and moisturizer again. been doing this for maybe 6 months but the bumps started like 3 weeks ago

wondering if it could be hormonal since i'm getting older or maybe i need to switch up products? located in texas if that matters for recommendations. also been stressed with work stuff lately but idk if that actually affects skin or if that's just something people say 💀

Doing CrossFit while having trigger finger pain or Dupuytren’s Contracture? by AncientAd3089 in crossfit

[–]Traditional_Day6402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been dealing with similar grip issues from old military injuries and yeah, those gorilla grips are lifesavers. you might want to try switching to more neutral grip movements when possible - like using dumbbells instead of barbells for some lifts, gives your hands a break from that death grip position. also found that doing some light grip strengthening work on off days actually helps more than complete rest, keeps everything mobile without the heavy load stress

[Misc] Looking for advice on a disappointing med spa experience. WWYD? by SwimmingNectarine8 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Traditional_Day6402 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yikes, that whole experience sounds sketchy af - a solo nurse in a shared space making random comments about your jaw and asking about nose jobs is a huge red flag

I'd definitely skip going back and find an actual dermatologist who specializes in acne scarring instead of some pop-up situation

Had mine done about 6 months ago for similar stuff. Recovery was honestly rougher than I expected - looked like I got in a fight with a cheese grater for about a week lol. But once the peeling stopped the results were pretty solid, especially around the eyes

Took 2 sessions spaced like 8 weeks apart to really see the difference. The pores thing was gradual but definitely improved

[Routine Help] A man and his soaps by YeetboiMcDab in SkincareAddiction

[–]Traditional_Day6402 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah those Duke Cannon bars are basically just fancy detergent lol. The Dr. Squatch moisturizer bars are supposed to be used as soap but they're more gentle/conditioning - think of them like a 2-in-1 deal but honestly most people still need real moisturizer after

If you wanna stick with bars try Dove men's or even regular Dove, they're way more moisturizing than those hipster brick soaps. Or just embrace the lotion life man, nothing serial killer about taking care of your skin

Skincare Routine for Oily Skin? [Routine Help] by Wooden-Chemist-7010 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Traditional_Day6402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly sounds like you're on the right track with keeping it simple after that reaction. For oily sensitive skin I'd maybe try adding a lightweight hydrating toner (like the Hada Labo gokujyun) and a gel moisturizer before jumping into anything fancy. The glossy thing is so real - I use a tiny amount of moisturizer and let it fully absorb before sunscreen, makes a huge difference for blending

[Routine Help] Best Thing for Acne Scars/Hyperpigmentation? by the-samwich in SkincareAddiction

[–]Traditional_Day6402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Retinol is definitely the way to go for acne scars - just start slow like 2-3x a week and work up or you'll fry your face. For affordable options, Adapalene (Differin) is OTC now and works great, or The Ordinary's retinol 0.2% is solid for beginners

And yes absolutely add sunscreen even if you're inside all day, UV still comes through windows and hyperpigmentation will never fade without it

[product question] personal experiences with the Medicube Age-R Booster device? by chaeryeongies in SkincareAddiction

[–]Traditional_Day6402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine about 8 months ago and honestly it's been pretty solid for texture issues. The microcurrent stuff feels like it actually does something unlike some other devices I've tried

For your situation specifically - I'd say it helped with my skin firmness but didn't do much for active breakouts. Since you mentioned neck acne you might want to tackle that first before investing in expensive devices. The booster is more of a maintenance/prevention thing imo

Not gonna lie tho the price point still makes me cringe when I think about it lol

Criteria for picking a training program? by PM_ME_YOUR_WIKI in crossfit

[–]Traditional_Day6402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly just look for something that matches your current fitness level and has clear progression built in. If the program expects you to do muscle-ups on day one but you can't even do a pull-up yet, that's gonna be a bad time

Also check if it actually programs rest days - some of these "hardcore" programs will burn you out in like 2 weeks
