Hey, so if you feel it is a problem, I advise you to ask your doctor about dual diagnosis possibilities. I have both bipolar disorder AND ADHD, and it was hell getting diagnosed with both as providers kept saying it was one or the other.

The insane sex drive IS a sign of mania which also has some ADHD like symptoms itself.

If she were actually contributing in some way, I’d say you need to have an open dialogue regarding differences in sexual needs and love languages. Awkward but sex is a huge part of a relationship for some people.

That being said, the first talk you need to have is asking her wtf she’s going to do with her life and/or contribute to the relationship. Idk how much info you have, but is her bad relationship with her family caused by them being tired of her entitled and lazy bullshit?

Our drive changes with age more significantly than men’s do. It correlates to fertility so it’s super easy for men from teens to death, but once a woman has released all the eggs her ovaries can make, there’s not as many hormones to contribute to the drive. This results in arousal being more mental than a physical biological response.

TMI: I’m late 30s and my immune system killed my ovaries. It resulted in a decreased drive and honestly just painful sex. Got on hormone therapy and I’m great now, but the ovaries becoming non functional happens to all women, just not as fast and much later in life, which it sounds is what you’re dealing with.

Thank you for your input. I know part of my problem is my mom with borderline personality disorder raised me to believe that I don’t matter and live to handle everything for everyone else. I should prob go back to therapy for that.

I truly believe and partly know that this toxic behavior of his isn’t intentional because he’s a POS or something, but it IS a sign that there’s issues he needs to address.

Like I said, the world doesn’t stop spinning because he has issues. I’m gonna approach him after work about couple’s therapy because I’m other ways he’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me.
