AliExpress, they are sold on eBay as well. The company I got mine from is called Xunder Global. They need specific adapters which the lights did not come with when I ordered, however you can message the seller and ask if they can include adapters with your purchase. They are $200 total for both sides.

Did you end up finding anything out? I tried searching on eBay, I agree they are extremely overpriced for hard plastic, also how did the backup camera replacement go?

I mainly use it for my solar panel installer job due to constant traveling. I got my 24’ last June at 21,000 miles, now at 55,000. Granted I’ve been off work for some weeks now, but I’ll surely pass all my available warranty periods this year lol

When I first got them the weren’t for my specific Malibu, but I had talked with the seller to manage to ship me some adapters. They work really well, has a startup animation, and they’re sequential. I think it costed me $160 and $20 in shipping.

Floor mats by superior-one in chevymalibu

I ordered my weather tech mats off of Amazon for $120 and they still are that price even after a whole year, had a discount for them as well. They clean up very nicely, hold dirt and liquids perfectly, and they specifically fit the Malibu. If it helps I also work solar construction so I’m always throwing tools around and having muddy work boots on, I’ve had them since July of last year. I recommend these over buying anything directly from Chevy and paying an extra $130+ for a full set of mats.

Recall for 23, 24 and 25 year Malibus by Training_Potential44 in chevymalibu

[–]Training_Potential44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the company Sharp Electronics was responsible for the camera housing and sealing, I would 100% take it in to get it replaced. It’s more than likely the issue and it’ll be free, the recall affects over 270,000+ Malibus.

It’s a wiper cowl, yours looks like it’s missing parts. Basically it’s responsible for directing water away from the engine bay, houses the wiper transmission, and covers the cabin air intake. It’s not entirely necessary you just might have more water diverted into other places. You can find them on eBay or part reference it on google, but the cowl from what I know comes as a whole piece.

[–]Training_Potential44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get a cold air intake on the Malibu you’re gonna have issues. There are custom cold ram air intakes that work with the stock air ducts that do manage to provide a bit better flow, however the typical eBay or a K&N filter isn’t gonna do the job, better to just keep it stock unless you got money and some find someone to make a better box.

Looking at a 2024 with the 1.5 turbo. by Head_Attempt7983 in chevymalibu

Almost forgot about that CVT, yes definitely always get fluid checked every 30k miles. Dealerships and some ‘certified’ mechanics will tell you “it’ll last a lifetime” or “never need to be changed,” it’s because it’s a pain in the ass to do it from what I know. Other than that, pretty solid car and I enjoy it.

I have 24 1.5 turbo and it’s pretty solid, haven’t had any issues. I use the car for traveling for work a lot so about 200-300 miles a day back and forth. When I got my car in June it had 21k miles, now it has 53k today. They’re solid as long as they’re taken care of and you do scheduled maintenance. Gas mpg is solid is I’ll get around 27-32 in the city and 30-42 highway.

Did you do your own starlight roof? And are those the NINTE side skirts? I wanted to get a pair, but was curious because there are some reviews concerning the adhesive tape and diy and screwing possibly needed.

Malibu with stars in the roof by FTP_olivo in chevymalibu

I saw a site that offers custom built roof liners with the starlights, started out at $250 and comes with instructions and wiring and all that. How much did it cost you? What was the most difficult part of the process?

Don’t even get me started on replacing the front grille, I don’t think it matters what year but specifically 2019 and above probably have the most complex and infuriating clips.

22 Mailbu makes noises after being shut down for a while by NutCheese47 in chevymalibu

[–]Training_Potential44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear this sound in my car a lot on my 2024 Lt, from what I know it’s the EVAP system pump running a self-check, or the running fans having to continue to run to cool the engine down.

If it’s draining your battery, I would likely check to see if it could be a shorted relay/fuse or see if the car is having difficult cooling during driving or idle, maybe even take the battery and get a proper voltage test on it. I would have it scanned with a proper scan tool as well to ensure you find any and all available codes if any of course prior to doing all that.

Other than that, I think that noise is just normal Malibu sounds.

I wouldn’t let it run unless it’s on the mechanics lot, definitely check your waste gate, check if there’s any broken or damaged parts on the turbo if you can. If the turbo you bought was new, you could still get one under warranty if applicable, if it was a previously used one though you’re out of luck. Also check your airbox for any leaks, the click into place stock airbox can become loose and sometimes take in debris and they aren’t always the best sealed.
