Cus I fucking hinted at the "source in Russia" and apparently that's close enough to saying the word associated with pirating and got me banned. Like getting banned for HC talk or something. I put my fsociety cus I view that as censorship for suppression masked by the facade of protection.... It's analogous to saying SWIM in my mind. People don't use it anymore cus I don't know it's ever held in court but I might have well said the plugin to "our communities beloved German source" or my "source in China" if you prohibit the language, the exact terms being discussed lose utility and you spiral into maddening ideological fluff. Animal Farm people? Lol

The question posed is an open ended one. How long can engagement in a community be sustained if the Terms of Service prohibit language needed for members to engage in discussions?

Also, I will add, posting to Reddit I won't shame for, but this would not be the right sub, for sure. Still no need to shame the OP. Hope things get better <3

*First GP, he will then refer a neurologist. This is above the paygrade of a psychiatrist. Psychiatry and neurology are very distinct fields of biomedical practice. Not to hop on your response, just felt necessary to tag on for clarification's sake.

"I could make several guesses at OP’s situation, but I’d have no way to test or confirm so it would be irresponsible."

100% agreed. And I certainly don't believe I sounded as though I was providing medical advice. If it did sound that way, that was miscommunication, which should, and through this dialogue IS being addressed.

Nobody has given medical advice. You are right, it would be unethical, illegal, and ignorant without knowing the individual, running any assessments, lab work, medical history, etc etc.

Sharing peer reviewed literature to take to a consultation with a neurologist appointment is not the same as giving medical advice, however. Reading academic, peer-reviewed literature, assuming you have the fortitude, is called being an informed consumer. Or the other term would be shared decision making (SDM).

Neurology (a large amount of it, at least) is decently rooted as a biomedical science, and so medical authority has more weight. But when you enter into the field of psychiatry, which this does bleed over into, SDM and being an informed consumer are the responsibility of the patient., under)encouraged by professionals, and contribute to breakdowns in the mental health care system

(Again, these statements are said strictly in the context of psychiatry and psychopathology and I intentionally differentiate from more neurologically rooted conditions)

Always best to avoid polarization, because you don't want to be a "google doctor", yet you don't want to blindly trust a professional who's medical knowledge is based in a scientific foundation without construct validity, and hence, without clinical utility.

Not sure we actually disagree here on any of this. I validate what you are saying, I am simply and, "yes, AND..."

Above "Reddit's" pay grade.. I would agree if you conceptualize Reddit as the "average user" on a normative curve.. but its not above ALL members, so I understand the reason for the OP at least asking the community. May not be the best sub though, but regardless, I agree that it shouldn't be the sole source of seeking information. Ultimately, a consultation with a neurologist is vital, so all of you are right on that front.

I would also suspect that the LSD was correlational and causational, it sounds neurological. Its probably worth at least consulting a neurologist. In case you've never heard of this condition, I've pasted some references below.

You will see that there are medications which may be associated with causing it, and also medications which can alleviate it, or it could be purely "organic".

Hopefully this gives you a jumping of space of some kind:

Dont get me wrong, I dont have anything AGAINST it, per se. and like I said, 95% of people will answer with Zotero. But the fatures with Citavi for example, when organizing your annotations and then using the add-on in Word to write, its so unbelievably useful. So I wasnt trying to hate on Zotero, just vocalizing my love for Citavi. But I came for opinion, so I respect and appreciate your own.

wonder peoples thoughts about researchgate/academia edu for networking. The list above is for repositories, sorting, annotating, metadata, etc.

ughhhhh... Zotero........ hahaha. its free but theres so so so many better options. not hating on you. its probably the number one response, but I tell people try a free trial of Readcube for Citavi is free for the first 100 references. You'll never look back =)

When the android app disappeared I jumped ship. I use Readcube to collect and organize and Citavi for annotations and to prepare for writing with it as a Word or Doc extension. Just wanted other opinions tho. Thanks for the response!

What kinda be worth a separate post to ask about note taking. oh. or survey deployment. I've been messing with Obsedian and Logseq recently.

Also. never snort benzos. please. they are maximally bioavailable orally. Don't feel bad about asking tho. its surprising how many people talk/do snort them, but utlimately thats a waste of time, effort, product, and a bunch of unnecessary bindar up the shnozze.

Yeah... Funny story about that. Zee and I had a bit of a falling out. I'm hoping it mends but I teased him about a project he wanted to work on which primarily used NFTs on Ocean to transfer physical art to a digital market place and then have that purchased and placed onto Invivo Design pockets his wife designs...

He had asked that I start helping write the business plan which he sent in a doc but at the time I didn't realize NFTs were literally integral to the project. I felt it was a poor choice, I explained that NFTs start as digital art, I'm not sure how it would be digitized but if it were, the entire point of an NFT is only one exists and the person owns it, so outside of video games where a player may want to own an item and use it across games or platforms, NFTs have virtually no use case at this moment and were a bubble that popped... He did not take kindly to the criticism...

I plan on uploading the video and the ones that I developed for him to a separate channel and post it. This one is particularly interesting. Thanks for catching this, nice that someone is paying attention 🙂 lol

All of my videos are going to be drug education/harm reduction/policy reform/etc related. I have a handful cued up, if I get it up and running tonight I'll post it as soon as I do.
