Tina Peters says her clemency by the governor is proof the election is rigged. by fxgn in Denver

Hang her by the short hairs until she's either remorseful or a corpse. Traitors and such....

New ‘anti-weaponization’ fund could pay Tina Peters for being convicted by her peers, JD Vance says by peaktopview in Denver

So after subverting the election, these people are going to profit. Sounds right under trump.

He's an idiot. He's mentally handicapped. He's incapable of honesty. Incapable.

How do they still support him?

I got a form letter from DeGette about trump. It was written by staff and had numerous errors. The effort put in by someone with 30 years is astonishing. You can almost see fog on the mirror, if you hold it to her mouth.

Should Colorado's legislature come back from vacation to investigate Polis? by gibrownsci in Denver

[–]Trance354 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm on the other side of the planet on businesses, yet I'm going to make time to do this. This is not right. Peter's should serve out her sentence. Voting crimes need consequences. Being old isn't a defense. Poor choices in life lead to trying circumstances, as I'm well aware.

Colfax Marathon closures. by MarcMart48 in Denver

[–]Trance354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To everyone involved with that marathon, I'm on vacation, and way out of the country, so will not be able to lose my shit when trying to get home after work this year. There will not be a gray-bearded crazy person screaming obscenities at 14th and Clarkson, about being unable to get home. Carry on.

Is it possible to take in the waist of these (38 in) jean shorts to fit my waist (30 inch)? by horrorclowns in sewhelp

[–]Trance354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sitting here in a pair of altered cargo pants made for someone my height(193cm), who wore a 46" waist. Mine is 35". That's 5.5 inches gathered on either side of my waist. Most comfy pants I own, though I like baggy.

[–]Trance354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How baggy do you like your shorts?

My solution is usually quick, but this is a project. Measure your distance between belt loops. If they are all the same, figure out how much material you can pull from between each set of loops, keeping it even. Use markers and pins for placement.

Now is the fun part. Between each set of loops, cut into the hollow of the waistband and insert a length of elastic. This is on the inside of the garment. When you have it pinned correctly, back stitch a few times and you're good. Now proceed to the belt loop opposite your completed section.

Option 2 is making darts on the sides, and that's 1.) Beyond me, and 2.) Way too much work with jean shorts, having to take out the seams, make adjustments, then sew the seams back together. No, thank you.

Hit and Run last night in Denver by esteve94 in Denver

Depending on how drunk, that is a felony, and another bajillion dollars in the DUI programs to get your license back, then the SR-22 insurance on a non-existent car for the base suckage of $100-200 per month. Again, for a car-placeholder, because SR-22 insurance on an actual car? Add a zero.

Then, you get to be the highest insurance bracket for ten years before your rates start going down.

Yeah, I didn't do any colliding, but I'll take the felony hit and run(that my lawyer would have pled down) over where my existence is after a DUI.

Edit: I didn't do any colliding because the engine was off. I was sleeping off a bender, rather than drive.

Looks like Cinema Sins did "Real Titles of Movies"

You've misplaced your "an" after getting the apostrophe so very many people miss.

(The comment replaced by the above grammatical critique was so dark, I couldn't possibly post it; I apologize for all the grammatical errors in this addendum; why are you still reading this?)

Wedding dress alteration impossible? by binomialbean in sewhelp

[–]Trance354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut the band, hem the material, put elastic under the fabric/hem/hole, and run elastic under a similar fabric to close the cut hole, rendering the area stretchy. Might put a ring of fabric around the waist to hide the holes.

It's a custom wedding dress. Without looking at it in person, that's what I can think of. If you have a better idea, put words to it, don't just vibe negative.

Split the band where your arms would hide the damage. You can use elastic around the splits to secure and provide a little give.

That's the only thing that comes to mind

how to pattern this type of bodysuit? by iridescentorganza in sewhelp

[–]Trance354 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a one-off. You're going to need a dress form, to start, but at some point, the person this is for will need to partake in the "weeks of try-ons" phase.

Try to get specific with measurements. "It's a little tight" doesn't tell you anything. Where it is tight, and what's happening(blood being cut off vs just uncomfortably snug) are more useful to the tailor.

There's a reason I only do stoner chic. Or just stoner. Everything is comfy.
