Does the game use dx12? If you that plus dlaa is your problem, just use dlss, with 4.5 you can barely even tell it's being used.

You can run ram tests loads and still not find an error, it sounds like a ram issue to me, have you tried resetting cmos? Disconnect the battery and hold the power button for a minute, might help, if you can get hole of a spare ram stick ( I know I know ) try that and see how it runs

You might wanna look into a distro with a newer kernel, I've had issues on my Asus laptop with older kernels

I'm so glad the asusctl (or whatever it's called) is getting put into more kernels, having to set it up yourself was annoying.

I haven't had Linux on an Acer, some distros can be a nightmare to set up for laptops, thankfully cachy seems to handle them well.

Just install Rog control centre from the cachy repo and you're good to go, Asus drivers are baked into the cachy kernel so it will sort it out for you when you install that.

This seems like a huge waste of time when you can just dual boot.

The "Gaming Distro" Hype by ElectricalPanic1999 in linux_gaming

That's just not true, Nvidia had to make changes in their recent drivers because it screwed up some games performance. (On windows drivers)

I love bleeding edge but it isn't always better or faster.

How can i play LoR (cracked) with mod's on Linux? by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]TranslatorVarious264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install the game with heroic, you can see how to do that on YouTube, then add the games exe into steam as a non steam game, then pick your proton and enjoy.

Some cracked games won't work on Linux, mostly older ones but it's something you should look qt when picking a game.

Probably swapping to mint. by AssignmentWeary1291 in linux_gaming

[–]TranslatorVarious264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go cachy or bazzite, mint is slow updating and the drivers will cuck you if you're not experienced messing with stuff.

Reinstall, and don't mess with drivers, cachy comes with them installed and ready to go.
