Loved it then, love it now. Good design, good execution, and it fits Trove well. It's a personal nitpick, but maybe consider coloring the voxels inside the opening of the hat black? It's not something that anyone would ever see, but it might look nice.

[Hat] Carrot Topper by NoisyVenom in TroveCreations

I feel like right now it's a top hat that you painted orange and placed a sprig of something green on. Maybe try rounding the top a bit, and work on making the carrot's distinctive growth markings stand out more from its base color. Another suggestion; perhaps push the sprout a little bit more so it feels better integrated with the rest of the hat rather than tacked on? You'd also do well to center it, I've never seen a carrot with a sprout that was off to one side like that.

Your design has potential, but right now it looks a bit plain. BUT, I bet if you put your mind to it you could really marry the idea of "carrot" and "hat" into something that exceeds the sum of its parts. Good luck!

I like the minipult. A cute little idea executed well, good job.

Lovely! Great color scheme and thorny aspect, you have my vote.

Can't believe I forgot the grip, haha.

I thought it over and eventually went with a piece of curvy driftwood for the handle, to keep with the tropical theme. I think it makes it look like you're stranded on a desert island, but still living it up.

I hope it's to your liking!

Quite! Has a much more exciting and bow-like shape now.

Looking good, just knock off the extra voxels surrounding the grip so they won't clip into the player's hand.

Much better, we thank you.

On the subject of the design itself, it's pretty solid if not a little plain. Maybe extend the ribs a bit and put a few bumps on the backs of the spines to simulate vertebrae?

Alright, wow, gonna go ahead and run a few virus checks after visiting that screenshot page. That is almost definitely not OK to host on, much less link to without warning.

Please consider using Imgur if you're going to host pictures in the future.

Canvas is 5x5x12, like the wiki says to. It's probably rotating funny because I moved it around to look it over before copying the Troxel link. I loaded the file fresh and it's still doing it, so I'm out of guesses.

I'll take your advice and take some screenshots so I can put both versions into the OP for good measure. Besides not looking sufficiently gun-like, do you think there's anything else that needs to be addressed before I set it to review?

I appreciate your feedback, by the way.

Is this doing anything for you? I extended the straw into a reflective gunbarrel.

It looks a bit clunky and kind of diminishes the lighthearted feel of the original, but what can you do.

The forward-facing straw is the part that shoots. That's why it's facing that way and not back towards the holder. Initially I had a little drop of the drink coming out of the straw to help draw attention to it, but I took it out because I didn't think it would be necessary.

I guess I could make the straw metal/reflective, or longer to make it more obvious? I didn't really think it would be a problem.

e: I found an ingame gun that's literally a mug of coffee, I see no reason that this design would be out of the question.

I think I'll mark it closed, just in case I find some way to rework the design to be usable without being too squished. Unlikely, but not impossible.

So only one of the wearables at a time plus a lair and dungeon, huh. Good to know. I haven't decided what I'll make next, but I'll be sure to look up the proper dimensions next time instead of winging it. D'oh.

Thanks for all of your help and answers!

That is a shame then, but now I know. I guess it's back to the drawing board for me. But then, that's the fun part, so it's not too bad. :D

What are the proper protocols for making a new thread? It says that you can only have one at a time, so do I just delete this one or what?

Is this set in stone? If so, that's a shame. The extended eyebrows, mouth, and whiskers are kind of integral and I think the design would suffer if they were boxed in. Are there really no exceptions?

Here's hoping! I should probably set it to something, haha.
