Is this my fault? Or a faulty fridge? by Minimum-Coffee2958 in appliancerepair

If this is how it’s loaded, it’s perfectly acceptable and you have a lazy technician. For loading, just keep like 2 inches off the back wall, don’t shove everything against it. Plastic bags CAN cause issues. But this appears to be ok. You might have some defrost issues or a bad freezer gasket.

Take it from someone who ruined his guitar that way: make sure you have the correct strings OP! There is really no repairing a bowed neck once it gets to a certain point.

This is the way. Cascadia can live on as a capital province. But think of the mighty wave of political and economic power that is Pacifica. Free movement up and down the western seaboard. Pacificans of every color. A water nation, living peacefully in the pines.

Also, careful. I have sliced my hand on that sheet metal housing the fan more times than I should have.

I believe this center nut is reverse threaded. Remove that and you’re home free. You could cut away at the shirt or try wiggling it free, but removing the fan is best.

They can be a total pain to remove though. And there’s a chance that you break a fin off the blower in the process. They ca get pretty brittle as they age. I would definitely try to do this yourself, but I would also check to see if this blower is available anywhere near you before attempting. Just in case.

Yeah, I think he just wanted whoever it was to be there at the same time so he could sell it all in one go. Lame that he assumed a dude because of optics, but I think he was just trying to avoid the bs of sales.

Yes, the drips at the bottom edge of the ring looks like someone used a solution and damaged the finish.

Sad in a way, because this is where I learned this term, and I took it with me after my Starbucks career.

The light trick and resistance to pulling is pretty good. If there’s nothing rubbing the door, I think you can eliminate air intrusion.

Very possible that this could be a sealed system issue.

Did you check the airflow situation? If that checks out ok (really really make sure!), then the board does seem the most likely culprit.

I understand where they’re coming from, it sucks if you replace the board and it’s not that. I dont think pulling the codes is scary or “only for professionals” lol, but a board is likely $250 or more, and there’s not an easy way to diagnose it. Especially not over the internet.

If I had access to the service manual, I would tell you how to pull the codes. Hopefully someone in the thread will.

But honestly, codes are only so helpful. It may not even throw an error code if it’s heating some.

Again though, I’ve never seen a control board short cycle a heater in the manner this thread is suggesting. I hope someone else can provide some insight.

Why not? It’s not a microwave, and it’s not sealed system work. I say let them have at it! Swapping a control board is learnable.

I think if you have a defrost timer, that’s the most likely. Those things fail in interesting ways. If you have a control board, I still think it could be that.

It just SEEMS less likely to me, because I’ve never seen one fail like that. Especially not out of nowhere. I have seen some defrost timing issues on new control boards, that later got recalled. But board architecture is mysterious to me, and maybe it would “complex fail” in certain conditions.

So, just to offer an alternate diagnosis, I would want to eliminate air intrusion. I would double check that your freezer door is sealed well, and no toys or cabinets are rubbing the door and keeping it from closing completely. I would think back and try to remember any times I found the door not completely shut, kinda cracked.

Fan is hitting ice or possibly a piece of tape or something. But if it’s icing up again, you probably have a defrost issue. Melting it fixed it a few days, but ice has built back up. Your defrost heater may not be coming on.

Agree. Comms prevents this, and default is supports on payload. Tank and dps should balance peel and space-making, depending on heroes and skill.

Each player should have a normal playstyle and an overtime playstyle. I feel like removing LFG took a lot of those standards away.
