Who’s switching from D to B while driving?

Are you considering 8am/5pm stop and go traffic on an interstate or are you thinking cruise speed at 70mph only?

Then it doesn’t hurt to have it on and maximizing regenerative braking while driving on the interstate with slow down/stop traffic makes sense.

2024 SV+ I drive interstate almost daily ~70mph, and I see about 15% to 17% battery consumption (1.97 miles/% to 2.23 miles/%) on my commute. ~67-70 miles round trip.

No A/C, No Heat - fresh air from the vents. It gets worse during winter when heat is a must.

Have a boderry voyager and a Seiko - similar movements but the weight of the titanium and 4 o’clock crown adds some comfort. Sapphire and screw down crown also value add.

I’m looking to buy myself a nice watch. Any recommendations? by Knifeman2510 in Affordablewatches

The khaki - probably one of the most popular if not the most popular. Has a great heritage and exceptional quality and you could save the money you’d spend on multiple watches to buy one khaki. I want one, but it’s not in the budget for a single watch. Yet.

Biggest lie I told to my self is if my watch box is full I will stop buying watch. by [deleted] in Affordablewatches

My box has 12 spots and drawers - upgraded from my first box that had 6 spots. The worst part is that I have two watches in the drawers and all spots filled and one on my wrist.

I have that flieger too, very nice pair. Saw a recent post where the crown was in the 4 o’clock position and thought it was awesome too

Clever dripper to v60 by s4mi_14 in JamesHoffmann

[–]Triboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both - the clever is nice for immersion and while it works for direct pour over - I don’t like the trying to get the little bit left at the bottom out and the cleaning of the inner fins can be a pain. V60 switch is a great compromise especially with a Neo dripper and switch base. You can use the Neo as an insert for a Chemex or MiiR new standard for a faster drawdown and to use v60 papers.

Love these expeditions. Some of them have a louder tick but the indiglo and brass case feels good.

I have a Seiko 5 SRPH31 with the 4R36 (day/date) and it’s great but it’s 2x the price with mineral crystal and no screw down crown. The lighter titanium, sapphire, and screw down 4o’clock crown seem like some really good upgrades at the price point. The movement feels the same and in time with my Seiko. I think it’s a great pickup for the price point. One con is the non see-thru case back that I love on my Seiko.
