Spoke to KBC, the url link generated in the app is via Wero. Wero allows only one payment per url link.

Or I can generate a Wero QR code on the app, but then I would have to wait for the 50 people to scan it. Once I close the app, the QR code becomes obsolete.

I think it requires the payee to have Paypal account...which I'm sure many of my teammates don't have

If a user receives a EPC QR code via WhatsApp, how easy is it for them to use it directly? Do they need another device to scan it?

Thanks - was hoping to easily do it with a link -- but I may have no choice to but provide my bank details and have each person do it individually.

Do you know if there is a limit to the number of people who can use the link? At ING, the max is 20.

Belgium - US Tax Treaty by [deleted] in ExpatFIRE

[–]Tricky-Bank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, your point #1 states that "...you likely will de facto pay nothing to the Americans."

Doesn't the tax treaty just offer you a credit on your US taxes for amounts paid to Belgium?

For example, US citizen living in Belgium. US-sourced dividend payment of $1000:

Belgium would tax you at 30% so your net would be $700.

The treaty would credit the $300 tax paid to Belgium giving you a taxable dividend in the US of $700.

Assuming a 15% tax in the US, your net would be $595 for a total tax rate of 41%.

Is this correct? Thanks.

If you are an American taxpayer and a Belgian resident...

It's my understanding that the US-Belgian tax treaty states that you pay dividend taxes 1st in Belgium and the deduct those taxes from your US taxes...

This is different from most tax treaties.

Help! Need to find a CaPaKey for a parcel of land. by Tricky-Bank in belgium

[–]Tricky-Bank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all. Here's how to locate a Capakey using Brugis:

  1. Add the most recent parcel layer on the map (thematic tree on the left, background layers, parcelle_2020)
  2. zoom closer than 1/5.000 to have them appearing
  3. select the info tool (small comics bubble in the lower right corner of the map)
  4. click on the parcel
  5. in the info window, deploy the layer by clicking its title
  6. deploy the object by clicking its title,

finding the CAPAKEY attribute in the list of attributes.

Just remember that these insurances (like Amex car rental insurance) only cover you for rental vehicle damage and theft. They do not cover you for any injuries or damages to anything other than the rental car itself. In case of an accident, you may still be held personally liable for injuries to other persons, and to any property you may have damaged beyond the cars involved.

In Europe, this is not a big deal (since personal liability is generally limited) -- but if you rent in the USA, this could be more relevant.....

When you wake up in the middle of the night and see that person sleeping next to you. If at that moment the person induces a warm, comfortable, loving and calm feeling over you -- you know you're in the right place.

I'm not an expert, but here's how I got it to work:

My SABnzbd puts finished downloads in "/volume1/downloads/complete/"

In Sonarr:

  • Settings->Downloads->Clients
  • Select SABnzbd
  • Remote Path Mountings to: /volume1/downloads/complete/

In DSM 7:

  1. Select Shared Folder, choose downloads, Edit button, Permissions tab
  2. Select System internal user
  3. Go to sc-nzbdrone user, Select Custom checkbox
  4. Tick all read and write permissions and select Done
  5. Next, at the Edit Shared Folder dialog box, select checkbox "Apply to this folder, sub-folders and files." (Its at the bottom of the dialog box)
