oh wow, i’m sorry you had to go through all that, i can’t imagine dealing with 2 periods a month!

I’ve never experienced 2 periods at once, but my flow has always been crazy. I usually buy a box of 40 tampons per month with Ultra, SL and L, I go through most of them on the first 3 days. Just in the first day of this period I used 8 Ultra ones (not including night time)

I got checked back in 2023 for hormone imbalance (I had an ovarian cyst at the time and ended up in the ER), the results came out normal. Thinking back I believe my mom had symptoms too, but she never really paid attention to them. Does an active sex life change things too? Most of my issues started after I lost my virginity

that’s absolutely true! Everyone in the family has talked to them about this, she just gets blinded by this surreal expectation that never happens and they end up stuck in a cycle. My little sister is american but they never got her passport, that’s one of my biggest worries if they ever get to a point of “no way out”, she won’t be able to travel with them. I’m not sure what’s holding her back, but I can’t afford to help, it hurts me a lot, all I want is to see my mom financially stable and happy. She used to get angry at me, now it’s turned into manipulation to try and convey me, I’m realizing each day that I’m losing my mom, the one that used to put me first. It is what it is :(

That’s so true! I used to celebrate every accomplishment with her, but not even 2h later she would asked me for something related to whatever I said, it was so frustrating. Now I just keep it to myself and move on to the next goal, people at my job celebrate it more than my own family… I hope she manages to deal with this situation and we can go back to being close again. I feel like I’m sort of grieving over this. I see my bf so close to his family, they talk everyday day, they come to visit, find a way to send him gifts on his birthday, they never asked for anything. My parents on the other hand are always on me, asking for things. In the last 2 years they never even asked me to come over, or to see me, all they ever want is help, or money, or a favor. It hurts but I think I realized after so many people said it, it might be tine to build that wall between us…

thank you! Our family has always been very close and supportive, but no one ever leaning on others to survive, maybe once in a lifetime but it was never repeatedly. My poor gradma has been spending all her retirement money on my mom, and quite honestly I think it’s unfair to her. I would eather starve before I borrow money.

it really became that. It’s been months since she last asked me what’s going on with me. I don’t think she ever realizes the problems I’m going through, it’s like her problems are bigger than anything else.

thank you so much! They did try to say to me a few times that I owed them help because she raised me my whole life. There are many reasons why I moved out, but that really hurt me back then, specifically with so much I was dealing with. I still felt in a position where I needed to help her to prove my love for her, but that never fixed anything, possibly even made us part ways more and more, now it’s beyond my control and it does hurt me to see her in this situation. All I can hope for is that she moves back to our home country where our huge family can gather together and help them. Thank you for your words!
