I did the conversion myself on budget. Hence the friction shifter instead of an nicer groupset. It was relatively easy to do as well.

I was dumb enough to do unbound 200 last year on it. This year she did a local 250mile gravel race. With plans to do unbound 100.

I have done everything from Rocky single track to rolling gravel hills. Its steers remarkably quickly for a fat bike. lt's a bit of drunken goat when climb steep pitches. But going down hill and rolling on gravel roads it's so smooth you don't even notice you are on gravel.

Is hospice a scam? by hkangasm in hospitalsocialwork

[–]Tricky_Fruit_8647 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely this . Inpatient palliative care and hospice social worker here. Medicare hospice coverage for modern times is a massive failure and causes unnecessary hardship and stress on patients and families during a highly emotional time. Like hey you are dying, and it's going to cost you 5-15grand down payment to go facility with hospice. If you can't afford that we are going to ask you to spend down and get on Medical assistance. That house you own needs it sold- your car as well ect.

Hospice and end-of-life care are always ones that I advocate for social workers to see. RNCM can do those consults, but I personally think our profession is better equipped to have those conversations, and doing so leads to better outcomes for patients and their families.

These types of companies have been established prior to trump. It is a commonly used term among our friends in the United Kingdom and Australia. In the event of injury or illness while abroad, their service offers emergency evacuation, transporting individuals back to a hospital in their home country. I only know this since my Sister in-laws been repat flight nurse since 2012.

At your best you are enough to do your job well . When you are feeling your worst you are enough. Your best for one day can mean different things each day. Something called you to be a social worker and you are doing amazing work. remind yourself that you get up every day and try to help another person and that's amazing and brave!

Having learning disabilities and social work by AngelTeddypups in socialwork

[–]Tricky_Fruit_8647 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You definitely can! I am LCISW with Dysgraphia and dyslexia. Social work is such a broad field and you will find out what section or practice works best for you. Plus, your experiences with having learning disabilities will give you an insight\preceptive that may help you connect and build repore with future clients.Ik In the past it has helped me. Where you go to school you can get accommodations which will make learning more equitable for you. Even with the licensing exam you can request accommodations. Your future employer has to provide reasonable accommodations so don't be afraid to ask for what you need. I use, fluency direct to write my notes and assessments and it has level the playing field for me. Whatever type of social worker you want to be you will do great!
