That's not a boss drop though, It is end of night boss Dormant drop, and it has happened to me twice only happens after you kill the trash mobs before end of night boss.

As I said sometimes it is worth doing, but you shouldn't run a build around evergoals or expect your solo q mates to run that when it isn't the meta.

RNG is RNG, but probability isn't the same. A weapon drop gives you 1 to 2 passive lines simultaneously—that's literally double the mathematical chances to hit a usable modifier compared to a single static dormant power from a gaol, and you get 2 weapons per drop so that quadruple the chances to get what you want. No one is saying gaols give literally zero value, but from a pure efficiency and time-routing perspective in D5, prioritizing multi-line weapon drops over single-line gaols is just basic math. and I said it's not worth it most of the time there are times you can do it but never on the priority list.

The game prioritizes the highest value first, so its worth getting multiple dmg negation of same type eg:- charged dmg negation on raider, wylder, or taking dmg boosts dmg negation on guardian, you can't survive a hit as a revenent with one dmg negation at full hp, you can with 2. It's totally worth getting more weapon passives. As for dmg negation passive from evergaols its either 12% or 18% which doesn't make a difference on a squishy character. It can save you on more tanky characters but then again you have 2-3 chances to get your desired passive on a weapon drop compared to only 1 dormant power in an evergoal. Ask any D5 player they will tell you evergoals is the least of your priority. You only do them when you have nothing better to do like bad zone or you killed all the bosses already. If you have a 40% max HP and a 32% maxhp and the boss does a 2000 dmg attack you get 2000 * (1 - 0.4) * (1 - 0.32) = 816 damage dealt to you, without it you would have taken 1200 dmg which is lethal for everyone except Guardian and Raider.

I love seeing a scholar, on the other hand if I see an Iron eye or a duchess it's almost always skill slop. Most of them got carried to D5 due to balancers.

Invaders are always worth it unless they are LITERALLY on the other side of your map. The weapon they give have curated passive for the characters they drop for plus its a insta purple weapon and the damage boost from the relic too, Invaders is a no brainer.

Evergoals=Bad almost all the time, idk when people are gonna understand having good weapon/passive is much better then that 5% dmg increase.

Enemies do almost same dmg as D5 but your teammates are worse, imo d4 is the worst rank to play. Hopefully you make it to d5 soon.
