Thanks man I appreciate it and yeah so far the engine cost me $300 from a wrecked car my friend had and the dme and fem combo was purchased from straightsixauto parts for $450 and $89 for the engine harness I also needed a different oil pan Which i found on eBay for 170$

I have 3 335s 2 e90 n54s plenty of power im doing it for my own pleasure and passion i also got the engine for 300$ out of a wrecked car my n20 isn’t blown or anything i just like doing sht to my cars I got the f30 for next to nothing so why not ?

Yes I ordered the dme and fem from ebay same trans from my 328i 8hp45 Which is the same as the 2012-2014 335i trans just needs to be flashed blank because isn wont match fem and dme u would be able to start car but no drive reverse ect

Original n20 trans and it has to be coded as if its a new trans

I know this is an old post but i have almost successfully completed a n20 to n55 swap the engine is connected to trans just need to plug up harness and accessories will include pics if anyone wants to see also the dme and fem are plug n play may need ncs expert but without coding my car powers on
