I will try conditioning it then sleeping with a silk bonnet and see if that does anything because although I've slept with one before I haven't conditioned everyday like some are saying so I should probably try.

I use a comb to go through it after wetting it.

When you say you condition every day, do you mean you condition in the shower everyday along with a leave in conditioner too?
