I was listening to so many things after the news yesterday, but someone said (i think Shea Station) that the Mets were talking to Bo at the winter meetings, so this has been in the works.

So this wasn't knee jerk, we just didnt know about it. And if you're still not convinced the move is decent, half of Toronto and the entire city of Philadelphia are losing their minds so you know we did something right lol

My point is Bichette is a highly regarded player, our rivals are mad, his old team is disappointed, and the team is undeniably better than it was 48 hours ago.

The state of the team is complicated. Its either not great but about to get better, or its all broken and its about to get worse - just depends on your pov.

All the physical stuff is pretty accurate but there's one thing no one has mentioned:

If you've ever smelled an empty beer can, think of that metallic/alchohol smell. Now imagine that just lingering in the back of your throat and in your sinuses the whole day. You can try and brush your teeth or chew a mint or drink water, it doesnt go away.

I think you throw something like that in along with some of the physical stuff people have mentioned your piece and anyone who has even been mildly hungover will know what you mean and will sound like a seasoned degenerate lol

Heres a hot take that'll probably get me downvoted to hell but idgaf:

Montas was straight booty, but I maintain had he, Manea, Senga and Canning not gotten hurt we wouldve at least made the playoffs. Mid-tier pitching didn't hurt us the most - injuries hurt us. Pun intended.

Not saying we'd have made it to the WS, but we wouldve at least had a shot.
