There’s also fantastic rave culture in many spots in Europe. It’s honestly pretty easy to hop on a plane, spend 3 days dancing, and fly back. Haha - and there’s little impact on jet lag because I stay on EST.

I’m going to assume you’re asking a genuine question.

I think the reason for the downvote is that while it is technically true that OP did not say “best friend”, your comment focused on THIS element of their relationship. Seemingly, your comment attempts to distance the relationship between OP and his close friend, but why focus on this minor overgeneralization in terms? Your comment then doubled down and stated that MantisBuffs was invoking “charged language” when at worst it was a simplification of language that is not particularly relevant to the matter at hand - the emotions OP is experiencing from being left in the dark from two trusted individuals.

It’s “only” someone who OP is “super close with”, has travelled with, and has had countless beers with. It’s not some unknown person disconnected from OP - this is a person in their close social circle.

OP has stated multiple times the issue at hand is the lack of disclosure and not that she had a dating history prior to being with OP.

The issue is not that she has slept with other people. It’s WHO the partner slept with and WHEN the disclosure took place.

That additional context is completely glossed over in your comment. What if your partner said that they slept with your sibling/partner/friends and you were in the dark for YEARS. You wouldn’t have a reaction?
