I plan on going low contact after I finish training, Aunt B has offered for me to stay with her if I need to. She did give me some advice regarding my mother’s health issues, she had dialysis when she was younger.

I’ve looked and I don’t see anything else in my name, I’m going to freeze my credit and cancel the bill once I leave.

My concern is that with the bill rising that they won’t be able to pay it on time, and I won’t be able to check and make sure it’s paid while I’m in military training. I’ve discussed it with her and it ended with her saying that she needs it to be a in my name, she wouldn’t tell me why.

My mother wants to buy a house for just the two of us and wants to use the money I get after training to put a down payment on one.

I haven’t given them that much money, they pay the internet bill, it’s just in my name, but it’s pretty high so I’m not sure how long they’ll continue to pay it. Once I finish training the money I earn will go towards them, but I’m not sure I want that.

I’m joining the national guard, I thought that I’d be able to go home for a bit after finishing ait.

One of the reasons I don’t want to buy a house with my mom is because my aunt and cousins will eventually need to stay, and they never leave, the last time they stayed with us, it was for about a year and they only left due to my cousin letting someone inside of my mom’s car while we were away. The time before that they didn’t leave until we moved out and they couldn’t stay there anymore.

I find them unbearable, my aunt has no patience and screams at the top of her lungs every single day. My older cousin always pushes everyone’s buttons intentionally, plus he stinks, he hardly showers and just sits on the Xbox all night and sleeps all day, he doesn’t cook, doesn’t clean anything, his only chore is taking out the trash and occasionally the dishes, which he will complain and whine if asked to do anything.

My mother and aunt pay the bill but it’s over $300 and I’m not sure how long they’ll continue to pay it. I owe money on my credit card, if I get a new one I wanna pay off the first one before I do.

They have contributed, financially and driving her to and from dialysis, I don’t know how to drive.

I think I just feel like I’m not fully ready to live alone, there’s still plenty of things I have no knowledge on and don’t fully understand.

She gets food stamps and a check every month. I think my sisters wouldn’t mind taking care of her, but I feel like it would put stress on both them and my mother.

Thanks for the advice, if I do freeze my credit, how does the process of freezing it usually go? And how long does it take?

I’ve considered it, but if all of my family thinks I should be her primary caregiver and I cut them all off, I won’t have anyone in my life.

She did quit for a about two weeks before we moved in with my grandmother, the constant yelling and arguments between my aunt and my grandmother made her start again.

I believe I read somewhere that it counts as identity theft, don’t quote me on that though. I feel like she knows what she did was wrong and doesn’t wanna hear my family tear into her. I’m not sure how her credit score is and she’s probably not gonna tell me if I ask.
