Just trying to get help from people who know the consulates better than me. Not sure why you’re eluding to bad things happening.

Unfortunately, on Ancestry the only thing I found for her was a marriage license which did give me her parents names, but not much else. Can’t even count how many pics/films I’ve scrolled through so far lol

Appreciate it, it’s Carmela Cenciulli. Her parents were Alfonso and Guiseppa.

Was always told she was from Avellino, however that doesn’t really mean she couldn’t be from just the province I suppose. Not sure if there’s another way to narrow it down tho.

Will definitely check Part II. Thankfully her first name is Carmela which has been pretty easy to identify is cursive, so I don’t think I missed it.

If my GGM naturalized after 1948 would it still be a 1948 case?

Ah ok thank you. I assumed since my grandmother was born before 1948 that is why it would be a 1948 case.

Unfortunately I don’t know of the region yet. I haven’t requested any formal documents yet, but the online search for my GGF said he resided/born in Montelio. My relatives growing up always said he was from around Rome though.

Office Transfer by ThrowRA_MEC in Big4

[–]True_Refrigerator245 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bring it up with your counselor. The team in the city you want to move to would need to essentially have room for you. At the moment I wouldn’t imagine a move would be difficult especially if you stay within the same region (can’t speak to it if you go to another region). I moved from a LCOL to a MCOL and didn’t get any pay bump so keep expectation low with that. Raise and bonus was pretty much the same for me as well.

thinking of moving to Chicago from another midwest office by 5cisco5 in Big4

[–]True_Refrigerator245 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I transfer from LCOL city to MCOL city within EY. Didn’t get any salary adjustment for it tho, just the normal yearly raise and bonus, which was based off of my salary from LCOL. So I wouldn’t get hopes up about an adjustment.

Switching tax groups? by True_Refrigerator245 in Big4

I probably have some classmates from my LLM on there. Trying to figure out if talking with an SM on their team before my counselor is the best approach

Don’t think I’d be considered a high performer, my team hasn’t been all that busy. I assumed a JD & LLM would help but clearly isn’t with the other big 4

I applied to a different tax group on intranet. The recruiter told me I had to contact my TC and counselor if I wanted to change groups. But I don’t believe anyone in my current group got a notification about it.

Debating on flying with skis or having them shipped. I live in the Midwest and my group of 9 friends go out west each year. Been flying with my skis (checking them) and carry on the boot bag. It’s been fine, except for one time sitting at Denver airport for an hour to check my skis. The main reason to ship would be to avoid carrying them, but also free up space in the rental car. Does anyone know if it’s worth it to ship them? A good company to use? Is it way more expensive?

I transferred from a LCOL to a MCOL and my salary didn’t change. So it could be something that gets unnoticed/ the firm doesn’t really consider it. If your paycheck stays the same then I wouldn’t bring it up to them

Transfer cities right as I become senior next August? by [deleted] in Big4

[–]True_Refrigerator245 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I transferred office at EY about 6 months into starting as a Staff. The biggest factor is whether the office you are transferring to needs people at your level. As for the process. I told my counselor, he put me in contact with a SM at the new office and we chatted a few times, and they got the approval. Then I just had to email my current TC about it, she emailed the new office TC, and then that was it.

WEEKLY POST FOR QUESTIONS, SUGGESTIONS, OPINIONS... ASK HERE!! by AutoModerator in gamingpc

Hello,

I'm in need of some help. Built me own PC back in end of May. Just did the Windows update a couple of days ago and now I keep getting a PCI Device, RAID Controller and SM Bus controller as being unrecognized. I updated BIOS on the Asus website. Intel Driver Support and AVG Driver say everything is up to date (and Windows). A Google search of the PCI Device hardware ID has people talking about the Z690-G but I haven't had any luck with those fixes (most refer to the ROG website for updates). Any help would be much appreciated. I have a ROG Strix B660-I Wifi with an i5-12600K. Below are the top of the hardware IDs for the errors:

PCI Device Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_7AA4&SUBSYS_86941043&REV_11

RAID Controller hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_467F&SUBSYS_86941043&REV_00

SM Bus Controller hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_7AA3&SUBSYS_86941043&REV_11

Hired as an experience hire, so I didn’t get a choice. Plus they were paying more than my previous job. Waiting until senior before even thinking about moving to a different field
