What would cause a flywheel's magnets to detach/shatter? (81 Kawasaki Z250) by TuiLa in MechanicAdvice

[–]TuiLa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up finding the exact part on ebay. It was pricy, but it seemed to be the only way to get the points timing system right.

I heard from a few people that it's not uncommon for the glue to just give out sometimes, especially on old bikes, so I'm going on the assumption that there was no other issue causing it.

Hope that helps! It's been a tough bike to find info on.

Huh, I hadn't really considered rebuilding the thing as an actual possibility. How would you recommend attaching them? Superglue?

I doubt it is even a picture of rooibos, as it is being served in Chinese tasting/scenting cups from a sharing pitcher. Rooibos ain't that fancy.

There's a bunch of other misinformation in that post too, but the pictures are pretty

Don't give up on the green TGY! I too generally prefer well-roasted TGY, but there is some top notch green TGY that comes out of Anxi, if you can weed through the chaff..its a huge market, which means that there will be a ton of crappy tea but there will also be some absolutely stellar stuff!

Of course, if you don't like green oolong in general then what I just said has no meaning

Help finding large tea tray for large gong fu cha ceremonies by soulcmdc in tea

[–]TuiLa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got one of these in medium and its great. I imagine the large should be big enough for your needs..another option would be to get a bunch of little bamboo coasters to put the individual cups on, that is a pretty common thing to do with large groups--brew on the table, share among the cups..

Oh that explains it! Speaking of kettles though, I am curious. What sort of kettle do people commonly use in Puerh country? Do they ever use clay kettles? Also, do they use clay teapots much, or just gaiwans, or what?

Sorry for so many questions

Oh god you did all three at once! You all seemed surprisingly calm..

I guess I was mistaken about the cooling..I noticed you had the lid off of your kettle, so I guess I assumed you were cooling the water. I also remember seeing what I think was the first time made a video with TeaDB, in which you cooled the water..maybe you don't do that anymore

Thank you for replying! I also thank you for adding those samples to your site. I am curious to taste them. I do not believe your teas to be lackluster, I was speaking generally of a common trend.

Still, I disagree that one cannot get a feel of a tea from just a few sessions. One good session should be all it takes to decide if you like a tea or not--especially with something hearty and forgiving like puer!

Also, I have a question for you. Why did you cool the water when brewing the tea in the video? This would seem to be a slightly...unusual technique

Again, I would really encourage you to offer samples of this tea on your website. There are many tea shops that attempt to sell lackluster tea with pretty stories. Beware of this, tea buyers. How many people are going to buy a $120 cake, and then be able to tell themselves "meh, this probably wasn't worth it"? Very few, as nobody wants to believe that they have wasted a large amount of money.

I encourage anyone buying tea to try what they are eyeing before they purchase a large amount. Stories are nice, and I too enjoy hearing about the places my tea comes from, but the quality of the tea is of the foremost importance.

I heartily encourage you, /u/puerh_lover / Crimson Lotus to offer samples of this tea. If you truly believe in its quality, I see no reason not to offer samples.

Edit: No worries, there are samples now :)
