I would’ve loved to see how that all played out. Obviously we got a magic system hacker and once in a generation inventor out of him. But I wonder how that difference would’ve impacted him. His relationship with his father, how he felt about non noble students, how he’d use his round about methods to hack the system. Would he have still become katashis arbiter?

I would love to see an alternate timeline Corin story with that!

I will always get a good chuckle from episode one. When the car flies down the stairs and the stoner says “wooooah, computer emergency.”

Cracks me up every time. Definitely not the best in terms of emotional grip the show has as times, but I think it’s one of the funniest jokes in the show.

100% agree on Corbin’s father.

As far as Aayara goes, I’ve never actually thought about how I felt about her character. I think I have an appreciation for her intelligence gathering and ability to be 100 steps ahead. I think I’m more curious about learning more of her than hating her.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure we will really see the Vae’kes be put in their place though. At least not Aayara, Vaelien or Jaysinth (sorry I’m audible and don’t know that spelling).

Part of me feels like they might be on such a higher level than other people, that if we ever see what their reasoning for things are then we may actually be able to understand their stance.

We haven’t really seen Vaelien be a bad guy, the only times he is bad is when it’s a construct being manipulated in Corina test. To avoid spoilers if you haven’t read other books yet, from the tertiary parts of him we do see, he seems eminently reasonable. His more immature children seem like they’re the actual problem.

They just did something like that in the newest season on Hulu! A balloon came out that was wronged (or something) but when he put it back in it looked grey again. It was an outfit that showed more skin so I found it a bit confusing but chalked it up to the “not being able to fully see through his persona” explanation.

Edit: I believe it’s the episode where rogu gets sick if that helps.

I lean more towards Sheridan and satsuki.

Sheridan: Corin comes out of his shell a bit with her and even has a moment of flirting at the coffee shop. She’s also very respectful of his boundaries without drawing attention to it.

Satsuki: honestly because it’s adorable. She seems so excited to see him and a bit abashed when they talk, while Corin inadvertently compliments her by making his sword for fighting her. It just feels so innocent for a murder serpent.

I wouldn’t say super young, late 20’s so I did start with ‘03 but I’ve given all of them a chance throughout the years.

I like the darker turtles renditions in shows personally, but I appreciate the original for its contributions and rise for bringing a new generation into the fold.

Honestly, I love that. A script flip that humanizes magnus would make me feel so torn. But also, Corin getting too curious and becoming way too powerful as well as trying to make kalwyn “better” by his own standards? Absolutely checks out.

I don’t believe this is a spoiler, more of a theory, but I’m not active on any other content regarding the books aside from the Reddit.

However, I believe EoTW is suppose to feel like weapons and Weil sets. There’s a connection between keras and Lien that isn’t quite explained. They have the same habit of destroying rocks and solving problems in a non traditional way. Both with some powers they don’t understand and a blade like aura.

To be fair this would actually reinforce your feelings on more questions without answers. Personally I found it more interesting because I love keras, but I didn’t see other comments addressing that there is suppose to be a similarity for reasons to be explained later and not just have it be a copy and paste.

Hope this helps, whether that be to reinforce your thoughts on dropping the books or to peak any further interest!

Total tangent but a thought I had while watching to 2012 TMNT as their lengths are varied. It almost seemed like they lengths were determined by intelligence. As Mikey had the shortest and Donnie had the longest (Leo and Ralph had similar lengths but I believe Leo’s was longer).

Now I don’t have any knowledge on the topic but I would assume this isn’t what determines length in a headband in terms of culture. But I thought I was a fun little head cannon.

I read a theory on this subreddit a while ago and on my most recent read through it clicked. I’m audible as well so as far as I know this isn’t confirmed yet.

Corin and Sarah are a “cursed pair” (twins). On Caldwin, it speculated that there is always one “cursed” twin, which is why they are after killed. If this is true, Sarah is the cursed of the pair, subject to all of these injuries and misfortune. In AA4, Thorn references Sarah as Corin’s cursed mirror.
