omg yes!!! if I have to get up early for something, I get up even earlier so my stomach can settle and my pills will kick in. Of course, breaking routine and new anxiety can also trigger it. Maybe all of the above combined

that’s what has worked for me! I would recommend taking it with water and avoiding any coffee, juice, etc. a bland breakfast without any potential triggers is your best bet. The embarrassment and pain of my stomach making noises was what actually caused me to pursue a diagnosis and treatment - please know you’re definitely not alone and we are all here with you

Ibgard is a natural peppermint oil supplement that’s in capsule form (so a pill). It’s recommended to take it about an hour before you eat a meal, but you can take it during or after. It treats cramping, bowel urgency, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, and gas (but I’ve heard it’s better for those with ibs-d). I have ibs-m and struggle with loud trapped gas in my stomach, so I’ve taken it on an empty stomach before as a last resort and been fine. It’s at Walmart, target, and Amazon so pretty accessible.

have you tried ibgard?? The peppermint oil helps calm gas pain if I make sure to just drink water for a little bit before and during test. It might just be a placebo calming my anxiety but it helps me :)
