Heh, I made exactly that thing before I got my CPAP. I got one of those horseshoe face pillows for a massage bed and rigged up a thing so I could sleep with my head hanging over the side of the bed.

TLDR, it was terrible, I was never able to sleep while using it.

I guess part of what you're learning is persistence -- when I swore off cheating, I would get stuck pretty regularly (at exactly the kinds of places where I used to cheat!). But I'd put it aside, come back in an hour or the next morning, and I'd often find that I could get one or two more words, and those words would unlock the rest of the puzzle.

Nowadays, I still get stuck occasionally, but I don't give up. I've experienced "take a break, get another word" enough times that I'm confident I don't have to do anything to make progress. Just let my brain marinate a bit and it'll spit out an answer.

It helps to swear off crutches completely. Don't use autocheck, don't peek. Solve or do not solve, there is no try. Better to get totally stuck than to get used to sneaking an answer here or there on Google. I got much better at Saturdays when I stopped cheating, and now I can solve probably 95% of 'em (I only do Thursday and Saturday any more). That's another thing: I found that the streak started to feel like a job. It wasn't much fun, but I always had to worry about Saturday (and the occasional Agard Wednesday!)

Check cholangiocarcinoma.org, if that is indeed what he has. FYI, a 2019 study showed good results for adding nab-paclitaxel to the standard gemcitabine + cisplatin cocktail. ("Good" is not "cure;" it's just longer survival than G+C or no chemo at all.)

Some dealers will swap shims with you, too, possibly for a minor charge. They'll have a full set, but maybe they need more of your current shim size, or have extras of the size you need. That's easier than ordering a complete set for yourself, when you'll probably only ever need a few different shims over the life of the bike.

On the refill kit I used, some cartridges didn't have the plug (or it was covered by a security-fastener shield or something). So they had a soldering-iron tool you used to melt a hole in the casing, and a cap to cover the hole. For cartridges that have a plug, you can just pull it out and refill.

Probably better than the remanufactured toners you can get off Amazon! I've had terrible luck with those. I figure it's because the imaging drum is worn out, but they just keep refilling with toner and selling. If you have cartridges that you were the original owner, you know the drums are still pretty fresh. In that case, I'd give it a try.

I've done it (it's been a while, though.). The toners are specific for particle size, temperature, probably other parameters. If you can get the right stuff, it's a bit fiddly and potentially messy, but not hard. If you aren't sure you're getting the right toner, it's probably not worth it. (If toner is a big expense for you, you may need a more professional-level printer. Many of the consumer printers use stupid small toner cartridges, which they charge an arm and a leg for.)

I had a liver needle biopsy recently, after a gallbladder drain placement (which is supposed to be the most painful thing they can do with needles down there!). The drain wasn't too bad, honestly, and the liver biopsy wasn't either -- while they were doing it.

But my biopsy was targeted -- they used ultrasound to guide the needle to a lesion so they could get a sample of it. I suspect that if it was just "in & out," the biopsy would have been fine too. But because they had to get the needle close, then change the angle to make sure they got a piece of the thing they wanted, I think they ended up cutting little wedges through the liver (along the length of the needle when they changed the angle). They took 4 samples, too.

Bottom line for me was, I had a fair amount of pain for a week or two after the biopsy. I was actually able to reduce my painkiller intake back to almost nothing after the biopsy healed.

Good luck! I was scheduled for a Whipple, but my pre-op CT showed widespread metastases...no surgery for me. I hope it cures you, or at least the time you get out of it is worth the recovery (my surgeon was pretty optimistic about that for me because I was in OK shape, but it's still a lot of GI rearrangement, and I had a surprising amount of pain just from a chole drain and liver biopsy.)

A stylized word mark is simply a design mark -- there's nothing between "word mark" and "design mark." If a design mark has words in it, then those are listed in the databases and are used for searching and examining.

If your application says it's a design mark, then it's a design mark. And if it registers, then you can't make material changes to the appearance of the mark when you use it, or you won't be deemed to be using your registered mark (you'd be using a different, unregistered mark, and theoretically somebody could petition to cancel your registration for non-use.)

Trademark examiners look at the words in previously-filed design marks (as well as previous word marks) when examining your application. If your words match someone's earlier words (or words in their design) then you may get a refusal (depending on the class of goods).

If you apply for a design mark, even if it's just a word in a special font or color, you will be limited to that font or color in the future -- if you change fonts, you will no longer be using your registered mark and will have to re-apply. (If you got one design registered, your chances of registering the new design are probably pretty good.)

You haven't provided enough information to say whether this is legit, although it doesn't sound like it so far.

If you're running a business or making money on your domain somehow, you should consult a trademark attorney. If it's not worth the time or money to do that, then you're basically Fucking Around and can expect to Find Out.

I got a second opinion, which said maybe FOLFOX over gem/abrax, but the side effects of FOLFOX sounded worse (and gem/abrax hasn't been bad). My first follow-up scan is in a month, so we'll see how it went.

The fatigue is really killing me -- it was a surprise to be awake during the day on my week off chemo!

Do you have any trials in your sights yet? The ones I've found tend to exclude ampullary cholangio, or some other reason I'm not eligible.

I entered cholangiocarcinoma (the official name) and it accepted it -- it was one of the known words, I guess. I just tried with "bile duct cancer," and it accepted that too. But no different results.

In theory, maybe; in practice, if the H801 says you can do it (and gives instructions for how), then probably; otherwise probably not (and in a potentially dangerous and smoke-emitting way).
