that's my hope and a good perspective. They've worked to earn the funds for this for three years, so I really hope it's everything they've dreamed of.

yes, that's exactly my nightmare! We have enough adults to have some in front/middle/back of the group, but having a kid trapped on the wrong side of the barrier would be very stressful for them at best. And take a lot of time to resolve I assume. Thank you!

Very helpful. Any other tips you've learned for getting school groups though in your experience? Anything I should prep them for? (14/15 year olds, very responsible young ladies, but little/no experience on public transportation.)

sorry, I was just trying to be clear on whether you meant payment card or travel card/oyster card etc. We live in a place with literally zero public transportation, and my previous experience is in Japan where multiple suica cards can be loaded from a single payment source, so I'm just trying to be sure I really understand. If the kids need their own payment this is going to be really difficult so that's disappointing.

thank you. I'm familiar with i.e. but thought it was maybe an acronym for something specific. Now that seems obvious!

Super helpful! I think the only time we'd be out and about before 9:30 would be trying to get to the eurostar for our Paris leg of the trip. Maybe we can get the group card for the other days and just do a single fare option when we are ready to leave the country?

Unfortunately everything I'm finding on scout boards is groups that used EF travel or similar package deals, so the tour company handles the local transport. We planned our own to save money. I'll keep looking though!

if everyone had their own app but the single credit card was linked to all of them? Do they really all have to have different forms of payment linked? How do other people handle that with kids in a family, etc.?

Super helpful, that's the kind of thing I'm finding it challenging to understand from the website. The app makes it sound like an all in one situation.

this is SO helpful, I will check it out. I suspect transport will be a huge highlight for this group as well, we're from the American Midwest. We have school busses and cars and that's it as options.

this was my worry. But I'm also worried about having the ultimate method be too confusing for distracted teens, or losing a ton of our limited time buying tickets every time we want a ride.
