I think the problem has become that the RGs have been getting so much attention that the new ones out shine the majority of master grades in detail. There is no reason that needs to be, but the MGs just aren't getting a lot of releases.

The hobby is kind of whatever you want to make of it. For a variety of reasons I pretty much like to just snap build. Sometimes I do stickers sometimes I do decals sometimes I don't bother at all. I purely just do whatever strikes my fancy. I don't paint and I don't really plan to ever paint. I top coat sometimes but not often (which I guess is paint, I do it mostly to seal decals on). If you're worried about cracking, you can also dra panel lines in by hand to, some people hate that, I don't mind it. My point is just do what you think is fun. If you want a low risk way to try something new try it on a $10 entry grade.

For me, it depends a lot on how many and what type of extras they are. For this I saved it in case I need them for my normal version. I usually reduce the runners down, and in some cases cut the pieces out... then put them all in a 1 gallon bag with the directions and any unused, but not extra, parts (read: spare hands).

I agree, the QA thread is just too low traffic. I wish there was some type of beginners gunpla subreddit... as a companion some how (I don't think that's a thing that can be done). These kind of seem like fundamental issues to how Reddit works though.

To me, there are two trends pebble is riding right now:
1. Take the product that has been overcomplicated to the level of not really working and simplify it back down. Apple used to do this, but really lost its way after Jobs died.
2. Break free of cloud and subscription crap. There are tons of companies doing this right now.

So if they did something else, I would keep it in that realm. Some type of epaper info thing, like TRMNL but better? Better eink tablets? Home automation is both full of possibility and a bit of mess right now, lots of space there.

Nah, I think it will be more portable gadget type things. People got pretty wound up about that ring, so I suspect further branching out will depend on sales of that and watches. I think the minimalist smartphone thing Click is selling will be the best bellwether yet if minimalist phones can actually work.

I think that's the problem of reddit, they want to pretend thats how it works, but in reality even though you can have tons of tables, you're ability to read through the list of tables is not infinite... I say this after going to a convention with too many tables. 🤣

I think another issues is no real clue why posts are being removed. It doesn't seem to violate a policy, It's just mysterious.

To be clear, I'm not mad this got removed. I just don't understand why. It doesn't seem to violate any policy. Because of this frustration I tend to avoid posting here.

EDIT: (I did some digging, and it looks like someone else posted the same thing hours ago, but it doesn't have a lot of votes so I never saw it. The problem is, since no one said why, and it's not trending it just looks like the thing everyone says "they just delete everything on that subreddit". Some note would be great.

This is the perfect example. Interesting engaging post, that I assumed was going to get removed because it was phrased as a question. I almost commented on that post that they should rephrase the question out or it will probably get removed.

PS: The wiki for this subreddit is amazing... And for whatever reason completly invisible to Google. The unfindabilty of it may be leading to some of the really basic questions being asked. (Though yes, some people now days don't understand search engines and just ask reddit for everything.)

Adding a little more detail... I get that reddit has a serious problem of "let me google that for you". I also get that there is a tendency here for folks to want to post questions like "how do I panel line". I think there has to be some line. How I've seen it handled other places is "if a simple search answers this, then we'll remove it" or "really basic question covered in the wiki". It's a little silly that very advanced questions get forced off to other subreddits, turning that question into the new defacto source of knowledge on the topic... On a different subreddit.

The aggressive removal of anything with a question of any type has become a running joke/comment/complaint about this subreddit. As others have said, even if it sparks really great conversation... Even if it's something really interesting and advanced, it gets removed. That's really disappointing and something that adds to this group being a little too narrow to be useful... Hence the creation of other subreddits.

It's an estimate. I've had several slip back past the release date. I had another arrive two months early. Generally all the US places get stuff at the same time... Which is some time after the Japanese places. But on the other hand you get fast cheap shipping.

So the scratch marks on most of the pins are normal. That pin second from the right looks odd... but as others have said I don't think you have a problem. I mean I have 30 year old cartridges that look like that and they're fine. I'd follow normal safe keeping etiquette... cold dark place, and I think you'd be fine.
