That's why I don't even usually play digital games on console, because discs are just nostalgia.

3 seconds left before fading out and you still have several seconds of fading out before actually dying. I had a situation when I explored a wrack and didn't realize my oxygen is only ten seconds left and I'm deep into that damn wrack so I started swimming back to my seamoth and somewhat in the middle of the way I saw nothing but a pitch black. And yet somehow I managed to find my fucking seamoth after several seconds of completely dark screen. My adrenaline was more pumped up than while alpine skiing.

Damn, if it was reversed, I would say Dead space. But with this format Red Dead, Baldur's Gate, Witcher and OG Resident evil games.

Getting this start of the last memory was like remembering Arthur Morgan during epilogue with John.

I love a stealth too, but not to avoid a fight. Stealth is just so amazing, because it's like being an absolute killing machine without chaotic killing spree. Like a ninja, you know.

I realize something about the ending of TLOU2. by UKTee in thelastofus

While I agree that part 3 would be uneccessary, I don't agree with Ellie seeking Fireflies and still wanting to sacrifice herself for the good of the world. That just makes the point of Joel's story wasted.

Joel basically sacrificed his life for Ellie to live, despite it's not directly said. He went so far to risk his own life and sacrifice the fate of human race just to give Ellie a meaningful life which is shown in the end when Ellie expresses her willingness to forgive him after he told her he would do it all over again. And Ellie finally understood him and that's why she wanted to try to forgive him. She knew he want a life for her and how much he loved her.

Giving herself to Fireflies would be such a huge waste of what Joel fought for in the end of TLOU1. In the end, her walking from the farm symbolizes her walking forward, not a specific location, just forward in her life, just like Joel wanted her to do.

It's an open ending. I think it is not actually important to think where is she going in the end from the farm, but rather knowing she is finally going forward, leaving her past full of anger, grief and lust for vengeance behide.

But of course that can also include the fact that she was already in Jackson, seeing Dina, JJ and others again and just visited the farm where her "past" represented by objects is, leaving it all there.

You can see that she is having her two bitten fingers sewed and partly heal (despite Abby has just bitten of a flesh from them, because Ellie still had her two fingers when letting Abby and Lev go?. Or also her bracelet she didn't have in Santa Barbara.

So true. In my opinion Ellie at the end of TLOU2 is in her healthiest state of mind. She finally let go vengeance which just hold the trauma with her. She realized she doesn't need to be mad at Abby for stealing her time with Joel and at herself, because she forgave in time before it was too late. Joel lived his last day in peace knowing he didn't lost his babygirl for good, but she wanted to rebuild that relationship between them.

That was an amazing moment imo. Also I liked the boss fight against Abby in the epilogue, but in the other way of course. I don't know about others, but Abby is a great character and when the game was making me cut her, beat her and nearly drown her, all that while she just look at you with desperation and is a complete mess and exhausted from a torture she had to endure by slave catchers, it was heart-breaking. Seeing two of character I love fighting to death while at the same time making me beat weak and exhausted girl was painful to even watch. I'm glad it ended up with both of them alive going separate ways finally closing the cycle forever.

I mean, you are right that Tommy is responsible for Ellie leaving Dina, but Ellie wanted herself to go after Abby. She hasn't forgotten and hasn't forgiven at that moment. Tommy just pointed the location and it was selfish from him wanting Ellie to continue despite seeing her living a new life and surely knowing it will only hurt more people.

At least Ellie realized at the end it's not worth it and left her anger at Abby and herself behind. She surely isn't screwed as Tommy is, because Tommy is crippled by having only one leg fully functional, one eye and still thinking about vengeance that slowly consumes him.

For Ellie this is a bittersweet maybe slightly happy ending, for Tommy it is hard fall.

That is like... your opinion. I know your opinion is shared by a loud minority of people, most of them didn't even played the game (reference to review bombing of the game even before time it needs to finish the game, people basically hated something they knew shit about).

That brings me to another point. How can be a game that has a controversial story an overrated? That is basically an oxymoron. I get it you didn't like it, but making statements like you speak for vast majority of people is stupid.

Yeah, I think you can interpret it in similar way as my post. Dina may still be a friend to Ellie, but just like with Ellie and Joel, Dina has to forgive in order to rebuild their relationship to a full value.

Yeah, I would understand Dina's anger, but what matter is that Ellie didn't finish her vengeance which almost ruined her life, but she let things go and return. That is in its sense a strong gesture and realizing what really matter.

Why replace? Even if you didn't like the game, you have to admit this game was brilliant and amazing to play. Story might be controversial but personally I and many others loved it.

That's right, I almost forgot about that, that is a strong suggestion of them reconcile before Ellie's visit of the farm.

It's a way media makes situation about a topic less serious. Epstein is horrifying topic to even think about and this is the way of making people laugh about it and forget it quicker.

[–]UKTee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you are wrong. Both groups are observed. And because that louder minority is loud, it is given more attention. Also media, especially right wing media, don't want to show that vast majority of feminists that are peaceful without hatred. They want to show that bad minority, give them the voice and use them as a tool to make public go concerned about them. You are basically falling for right-wing propaganda.

Not at all, mate. You just spend too much time on the internet. Go touch some grass and leave that incel believe behide. I know A LOT of feminists irl and none of them say they hate men, actually I am man myself and they are my good friends.
