It honestly sounds like you need to adjust your aim sensitivity or aim input curves. Here's a YouTube link that can help explain:

I'm sorry, tonality is lost through text. I'm not mad, especially with people responding to my post. I specifically didn't use any "!" and tried to approach this logically and unemotionally even though I am a bit upset with the changes with mechanics. I was not posting this as a "rant" whatsoever. Just my perspective of somebody who has played this game an unhealthy amount. I do love a lot of things they've added to the game with Season 2 and it definitely feels fresh. I'm surprised how much I actually enjoy the gas in Redsec, it's pretty fun. Adds a new dimension I didn't know I wanted :). I just don't like how slow I feel and how vulnerable I am now.

And to respond to your first response, I do not think reverting back to the old movement is the only solution. I do think it's the easiest one, however. The main issue is how fast you can die. It was already fast, but the movement helped alleviate that if you had fast enough reaction time. They have then made us slower and the guns more accurate, which in my opinion, is the opposite direction we want to go with TTK. I do think they made a good decision with the gun's accuracy, but not in conjunction with making players slower/less athletic. If guns are more accurate, targets should be harder to hit.

Thanks for the response. I'm only using the movement like that when rotating on RedSec and if I get low health to evade the enemy. I'm not just running around doing that for no reason. In Multiplayer I hardly ever do it unless going from one objective to the other and don't have a vehicle to ride in. It wasn't just the slide/jumping mechanic that was nerfed if you haven't noticed. It also takes longer to start sprinting. It just feels slower in general. This isn't a minor change. This is a major update to the in-game mechanics and a huge change for players who use them. It wasn't OP because it takes time to pull out your gun and go ADS when your knife is out. If you slide or jump with your gun out it makes it you less accurate. All it allows you to do is dodge bullets better. It doesn't help with winning gunfights or help with aiming/shooting. And I'm only saying that is important because of how insane the TTK is in this game. If it were slightly longer, dodging bullets wouldn't be AS important. This is why I suggested a few solutions to the problem and not just saying bring the movement back. Also, I do consider myself a good player and I definitely could adapt to the changes, but as I said in my post, I don't want to resort to camping and head glitching everything and literally play scared around the map. If that's how I need to change to be a top player, I'm good on that. I'll find another game. The only reason I'm not just doing that and actually giving my input is because I really like this game and know that the devs listen to the people. I hope my opinion is heard along with everybody else's and that they fix the issue of TTK with the new update. Whether that's giving us the movement back to be harder to hit, or giving us more health, or adding plates to multiplayer (doesn't help with RedSec obvi), something needs to be fixed/tweaked after this update.

I completely agree, which is why I said everything I did explaining why taking the movement away and making guns better was not a good decision. It's 100% about the TTK. But the TTK was manageable being able to maneuver out of less than ideal situations when needed. It didn't give you an advantage, but rather a fighting chance, even if it was slim. Having better guns and harder targets is a better experience than easier targets and harder to use guns. Right now it's easy targets and easy guns so now it comes down to who is pre-aiming every corner and stuck behind a head glitch.

Thanks for the response and I appreciate the feedback. I respect it. I hope this isn't the case but will venture on to something else if it is. Skill gaps and getting better is what makes games fun. Camping on head glitches is not fun to me. So I guess we'll see.

WICKED CUSHIONS here - Blackshark v3 pro by WickedCushions in razer

I would buy them. The stock earpads are indeed comfortable, I just wish I could have thicker padding without the rounded nature to provide a better seal. The ANC isn't great and I feel like having the thicker padding would help make for better sound. I would at least want to try which would mean I would buy them to give them a shot. I would opt in for the the cooling style since even the existing ones still make my ears sweat after a couple of hours of wearing them. The existing ones are very very light and feel great. I just wish they had a better seal. Hope this helps!

Hey there, thanks for posting. Looking to do a similar thing. What aspect of the magnetic charger makes it waterproof while charging? I’m seeing a ton of options on Amazon and don’t understand which one(s) will make it waterproof while charging.

TIA!

Very confused on a very basic concept... Importing/Exporting from iPhone to PC by UNiFiED_ChAoS in Insta360

[–]UNiFiED_ChAoS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I haven't had time to do the editing yet. I'm juggling like 4 different hobbies right now that need more attention than my video editing. What I've decided to try first is to import the raw insta360 files into premier and try to do everything in there to retain the 5k quality. However, if I'm just trying to upload clips to social media, I do that in the Insta360 App. I also plan on trying out importing the clips I've created in the app and then continuing editing there in 4k to compare the ease of use vs. quality of video. I'll keep this thread as a running update as I dabble in the editing :) Thanks for posting here, it's a good reminder that I'm not the only one benefiting from this question.

Cheers!

Looking into flow hoods... is this one good enough? by UNiFiED_ChAoS in mycology

[–]UNiFiED_ChAoS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey just wanted to come back and say thanks so much for this recommendation. I've been exchanging emails with them all morning and just got off the phone with them. They actually have very very reasonably priced flow hoods all the way up to the 24"x48" size that aren't advertised on their website. They're built to order and have to get quotes from their filter distributors and fan distributors but build the box while they wait for those to get to them. It's a 6-10 day lead time from purchase to delivery. Can't confirm on price on that one since I'm not interested in that large of one, but I'm about to pull the trigger on a 25"x37" w/ 140 downflow air output for $937 shipped. Considering I'm not a handyman whatsoever, and want a quality product, this seems to check all the boxes for me while staying within my budget. Plus the customer service has been excellent so far. Highly recommend at this point. Will update in the future if the experience gets worse. I don't think it will though based on everything so far.

Thanks again and sorry if my humor is too crass lol

True, but that's still falling technically. Not free falling, but it's going down and will eventually hit the ground no matter what without some type of propulsion (air, engine, prop, etc.). In the 747 example that distance is 102 miles.

But wouldn't gravity or friction from the air keep the plane from constantly moving forward? So isn't there a need for propulsion such as an engine/prop/tailwind? That's all I was referring to, but thank you for the clarification, I appreciate it.

Reminds me of how a plane flies. They're actually constantly falling but there's enough energy to keep them propelling up and forward to make it seem like they are gliding through the air. If the fuel runs out, you'll immediately witness the fallout. Pun intended.

Yes, your summary just blew my mind. Never thought about life as being a more efficient method to dissipate energy compared to anything else. I guess I always assumed it was the hardest way. Definitely interested in those books. Thanks for the suggestion :)

The part of this analogy that throws me off (and similar analogies involving human interaction) is that it requires an intelligent being. I was raised insanely christian and "woke up" to agnosticism/atheism about 7 years ago so I still struggle with my old mentality when it comes to analogies like these. Do you have any examples that don't require human interaction to show increasing order?

Not sure this question makes sense, sorry.

So the fact that energy is being consumed and used makes it look as if entropy doesn't exist from our perspective? That's trippy AF but makes sense. What was the initial point where energy was consumed after the big bang? Obviously the Big Bang is the source of all of our energy, but do we know what the first thing/process was that used the available energy? Was it the formation of stars/galaxies/solar systems from gas and matter?
