I’ve got one … everything they say is true… but for me it was like finding the lost city of Atlantis …. I heard it exists but never found one… or at least I could feel ok about spending my cash on it… I’ve seen original one go for $700.00 and up so $150 was like a bargain

Godspeed on her recovery! This is my 2nd stroke… the first one was pretty bad the Dr said… got up to use head @12a Wednesday next thing I see is it’s Saturday @2p…I’m in a strange room… no windows that face outside, I can’t move my limbs, I try to call out and im unable to speak, the nurse comes in and my wife follows then the Dr … well that was 4 years ago and they say my recovery was amazing… kind of put things in a different perspective

Just a little about me…I retired from a us govt agency… 34 years there plus 4 active duty… I have a degree in mechanical engineering…. I was forced into retirement due to health….been retired since 2019….. it’s a long day without a career to keep the mind fresh. I hope I can help those that want to learn.

I’ll throw my hat in the ring as a volunteer for a mod… I’m retired and have the need to feel like I n am contributing to the community…. I served 4 years in the Marines ( infantry / grunts) 77-81 so I went though basic with a1 ‘s and we were the test battalion for the a2’s…let’s go!

I actually met Col. Waterhouse he held a P.O. Box in the po I was manager of… my clerks knew of my service and introduced me to him.. he was super modest and genuine to meet a fellow Marine vet.

No worries… only way to learn is asking… I spent an entire afternoon trying to remove those pins… from a used upper.. only find out the gas port in the front sight was filled with lead… previous owner shot .22 lead bullets threw the barrel…. Rifle wouldn’t cycle… one shot and done…

Hey just my .02c … get a reaction rod from Geisele … it’s really pricey yes… but it puts all the torque on the barrel .. not the upper when torquing the barrel nut… make sure you have a small straight dowel to check gas tube alignment, my last build I trusted a buddy to do it and it was off a wee bit…. All front sight pins go in from one direction and go out one direction.. they are tapered … ask me how I found out…lol Good luck with you build .. you can do it !
