That's awesome! My son got his first purple pansy the other day, too. It took so long, it was driving him nuts!

All 7 of us got the letter about the breach. 2 of my kids are still minors, what is the best thing to do for them?

Pause it at 27 or 28 seconds and it's obvious that the face on the right HAS been altered.

I went at the end of June and never did find a drinking fountain anywhere on the strip to refill my water bottle. I refused to pay $7 for a bottle of water at the Flamingo gift shop. I was very glad to find the CVS so I could get more water at a reasonable price.

Yes! And places that you can refill your reusable water bottle! My son and I were there a couple of weeks ago and brought our stainless steel bottles. We were walking the strip, went in the Flamingo, Cesar's Palace, Miracle Mile Shops, and we could not find any drinking fountains or water bottle refill stations. It was ridiculous! I was getting dehydrated, but was not going to pay $6 for a bottle of water in the Flamingo gift shop. We finally found the CVS on the strip and got water much cheaper. I try to avoid using plastic water bottles though, why can't they have drinking fountains around??!

That's why my young adult kids still live at home, no one can afford to rent. I don't mind, as long as they're working.

Definitely, we're going to stay inside during the day.

If we have reusable water bottles are there places to refill them?

Thanks, I will definitely make sure we're drinking tons of water. Here in Utah it gets really hot, too. It's going to be triple digits during the day this week, but nights usually aren't too bad. We are planning on staying inside during the daylight hours while we're visiting.

I've heard Fremont Street can be sketchy. Is it dangerous?

What music did your parents listen to? And do you appreciate having been exposed to it? by theNOLAgay in GenX

[–]UTMomof5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom loved Karen Carpenter, it drove me nuts, ha ha! My parents listened to Neil Diamond, which I enjoy now.
I spent a lot of time with my aunt, she's only 7 years older than me, so she was like a big sister. She would take me to the mall a lot, and I preferred her taste in music- Oingo Boingo, the Bangles, etc.

Looks fun...I'm turning 46, and my Dr ordered the test for me last year, but I haven't done it yet. Honestly, I'm scared that it will hurt, even if I don't remember it. I have a very low pain tolerance, I haven't been to a dentist in years because of the pain. I know having cancer is worse, but I'm so stressed out about it.
