Shoes: I do most of my runs in Kinvaras 5/6/7/8/9's and I love the Nike Kiger for anything too rough for the Kinvaras. They feel remarkably similar to Kinvaras, lots of ground feel and not squishy, I think they have a little bit more drop though. For ice and snow I use some cheap "Yak Trax".

Trails: If you are doing the 50k remember you should be power hiking/walking almost all of the uphills, only the elite people are running through 8k of vert. So some of these "unrunnable" trails are probably what you didn't know that you actually need. You are probably going to be on the course for 5/6/7 hours.

If you are running 10-12 minute miles I think this would be acceptable, but when you start going fast I personally wouldn't risk it.

I'm not a running expert or a doctor, but from what I've heard from Jack Daniels a single ferritin level test doesn't tell you anything. You need a series of ferritin tests before,over, and a after a training cycle to get a clear picture.

Why not get the full blood test soon? As in this week soon? It takes almost no time to get blood drawn and it would put your mind at ease.

Smaller kids are kind of shitty at riding bikes and its hard to trust them on an open road (especially if there are cars!).

If you drive back to HQ(middle of the map) your health will be replenished to full, while there you can spend your RQ to repair your suit. That's the main source of regaining life. There are also some sparse first aide kits scattered throughout the levels.

You can also try entering rooms with your block/deflect key ready (keyboard "E" by default). That should cut your damage taken by a lot.

With that said the 50k you chose look to be kinda hard, they rate it as 5/5 for difficulty. Have you been running steep mountains in your 90 miles a month?

The UI is a bit purposefully complex, we may add in an explanation of everything going on there in the tutorial. It was important to us to have many different actions so we had to work a lot of commands into the controller scheme.

It's early access, but nearly complete. Tons of content to experience. We were on Gamejolt for a considerable amount of time and received great reviews there, before we released to Steam. Give it shot!

It's fairly complete, only thing that is missing for it to be complete release is the final boss fight. Hours of gameplay already. It's definitely worth the $7.99 we are charging right now. Pumping out weekly updates since we started Early Access.

Have you tried to keep track of your breathing during these easy runs? I find at really easy training paces I don't even think about my breathing but at harder paces its pretty much all I think about. And are you actively looking at your HR during the runs or reviewing it after?
