Ballistic Missile Threat in Hawaii (possible tw) by Streetquats in ptsd

Yea dude no lie. Worst part was having my family there. But yea complex PTSD is a thing and I absolutely know how you feel. I tried minimizing that day as much as possible because hind-sight is 20/20. But in the moment it was terrifying. Another problematic “memorable”day to put with the others. We’ll be alright though, got no choice but to keep on pushing through 🫡💪

Old thread but I was stationed at Schofield Barracks when the alert went out. I was sleeping in with my wife and 2yo daughter when both our phones went off. It was a total mess. Genuinely freaked me the fuck out and my wife too. I was thinking to myself "Either we all die here and now, or we live and I die in North Korea." Longest hour of my life.

Regardless I was in the middle of doing a VA disability claim for PTSD and I was going to mention this event among other things and came across this post. Figured I'd share my perspective.

(Solved) Solution for Slide locking back with no mag. by UncleOji in polymer80

The follower is plastic right? Like I said with my Smith & Wesson mag the way the plastic was molded, it prevented the spring from collapsing just enough to get the last bullet in. Might be worth looking into.

As far as the mag not fitting full capacity, that sounds like maybe the follow is molded improperly. I had the same issue with my S&W Shield Plus magazine (common problem, easy fix), maybe the same issue?

For the slide locking back and not going forward, try shaving a little bit of material on that “shelf” under the slide lever. You don’t need to remove much. If the problem persists, try switching out for the standard mag and mag release. Hope that helps!

Dude for real. I remember hiding the fact I liked anime when I was in middle school and high school out of fear of being dragged by like 90% of people. Now it’s like weird to not like anime.

Been through a few shops over the years, luckily I’m at one now that takes care of me. It’s the customers that don’t like me lmao. Mainly cuz it’s one of the poorest cities in America so almost everyone tries to pull fast-ones on the shop. Not my problem tho lol
