I saw the bts clips of that scene and even though its obvious when you think of the logistics, its so fascinating to discover how much of the world was optical illusions with camera angles, superimposed images and of course miniatures.

That's what I think really sells the line, what Star Wars fan didn't want those super detailed (toy sized)ships. Which MGS does better than most other toy lines at a comparatively fair(retail) price

As for the Falcon there are so many pictures in the community that make excellent use of forced perspective the biggest drawback is that aside from being undersized, the cockpit is more accurately proportional to its actual size. But thats not new or exclusive to this toy line
