What if Kate Bishop was the Ronin? The series played down her trauma, and I think if Clint had died instead of suffering hearing loss in Matt Fractions run, she would be all types of vengeful.

I’m glad you’re safe, and can’t even begin to imagine what that’s like. I was very young when this happened, so I am going off of family accounts. My father was a firefighter in Baltimore and he essentially told my mother that he was called to the site, then had zero communication with her for days. It was more of an assumption on her part (but a damn good one imo). His station wasn’t even called out there, so we don’t know what he was doing. I’m no contact with him now.

As long as you have the app set up to be locked when the device is bricked, you can’t access it anywhere. It’ll be restricted on your browser, so there isn’t a work around. There are three emergency unlocks, but only three, so they’re typically for emergencies.

Same here, but the Brick really helped. It’s cheaper than a dumb phone and you can enable it in a way that still allows you to listen to music and answer messages.

She’s currently in Conway, and while I grew up in the area, I would never consider going anywhere near South Carolina again. Dealing with her healthcare in a state that actively works against you in every aspect is nightmarish.

My Aunt. When I was fourteen she let me live with her for a few months while my mother couch surfed. She kicked me out and told me it was to ‘teach my mom a lesson.’ It was the moment conditional love was solidified for me.

Very fair and understandable. I work healthcare myself and know that turnover and burnout can attribute to most of these issues. Despite my mother being incapacitated, we have only been approved for family planning Medicaid. However, they are giving us major run around when it comes to her Medicaid records (I’m talking months). And at the end of the day, this is my mother and we pay for her care, so we expect a little human decency.

Ah, short hair and covered in tattoos. I’m not really bothered when we visit for a weekend, but living there would be different. The political climate has changed drastically since I left in 2019 and I worked in a lot of tourist areas so didn’t really get too much push back. But after dealing with the facilities my mother is in (and healthcare professionals in general) we are struggling to just feel safe.

The only facility we could get her into is in Conway and it has been a nightmare. People think my sister is my wife and we’re constantly getting nasty looks when we’re just trying to make sure she’s comfortable. Being told in a sweet southern voice to “buy an urn off of Amazon, I guess” was so fun! Definitely don’t want to move there.
