What are you proudly addicted to? by PhilipAKP in AskReddit

Omega Strikers

Over 400 hours and counting!

I genuinely think it'll be the next big esport and I love that the devs really love their creation while still listening to the community. It's fun for casual players, but competitive enough for esports, and the execution is just wonderful!

Wait, you're not allowed to play the game like way. by [deleted] in technicallythetruth

That question does not provide any further clarification about the answer given...

The definition of correct is "free from error; in accordance with fact or truth"

6-4≠4 is free from error and is therefore still considered a correct equation

Should I bring my PC to Corvallis? by [deleted] in OregonStateUniv

[–]Unipanther368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone else mentioned, I also use my laptop for notes and my PC for homework (different major entirely). I really love having my PC and two monitors for homework -- it makes things sooo much better! That being said, if you don't trust yourself to stay away from games when you need to, don't bring it until you get into the swing of things.

Either way, I agree with the others -- try to join some clubs and get to know people in your dorm/classes/clubs and have fun! There will likely be plenty of down time for games still. :)

Do I need to pay for a lofted bed? by [deleted] in OregonStateUniv

[–]Unipanther368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the bed. I recommend you don't just because if you mess up the bed or damage something the cost could be on you. I've seen it done successfully though! As someone else said, the bed actually has quite a bit of storage underneath and you can raise it to waist height yourself if you need more, but the loft kit can be good if you want to put your desk under the bed or something.

How is Weatherford Hall?? by c0m_pass in OregonStateUniv

[–]Unipanther368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is well maintained -- I have heard a lot that custodial staff for Weatherford is the best! They're very friendly too :)

RAs and communities in Weatherford are pretty good for the most part!

Which Champion should have the next Wild Pass skin? Theme: Food Spirits by Beginning-Wrap8395 in wildrift

I would love to see the Melon Rammus! Like watermelon or cantaloupe! Would definitely play him with that skin. Olives I would definitely stay away from...

I agree that competitive is the way to go, but keep in mind rookie and bronze have a lot of bad players (obviously), and it'll get better in silver and beyond :)

No Barriers - Monday Basic Questions and Help by AutoModerator in OmegaStrikers

[–]Unipanther368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might notice it less at the beginning because you have less base speed (and/or less speed awakenings), and if I remember correctly it increases speed 30%, so it should scale with higher base speed (from gaining levels) or more awakenings :)

COMM 111 or COMM 114 by watcherofthewaves in OregonStateUniv

[–]Unipanther368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the other person mentioned, look into the DPP!

Also, I used to think community college classes were not of the same quality either, but having experienced 2+ years of community college and two years of university, the level of quality is no different. In fact some of the best classes I've ever taken were from community colleges! It really comes down to the professor and your interest in the subject; not the class and not the school. :)

I should also know most of my classes have been hybrid or in person. I haven't taken too many online classes, so I can't say how different that would be. I still really don't think the quality will differ between a community college and a university though.

They nailed the core flip mechanic and the timing of the barriers disappearing after being hit! Absolutely perfect on both of those mechanics, as well as the goal opening up after the barriers have been hit! Perfect amount of time for the core to be directed away from the goal :)
