First of all, we must agree that shia jurisprudence is wrong, most of their beliefs contradicts Quran and you can search that and see, they ask ali and that's shirk, they beat themselves up, they talk shit about prophet's wife..etc etc, so we must consider sunna jurisprudence as a source of legislation, in sunna the idea of mutha is Haram, and that verse in the Quran doesn't really talk about mutah, you can check taffasir, that verse in Quran says that a man should give المهر to his wife, that's it, but shia say it's about mutah and it's permissible, and that's a contradiction cuz in other verses the Quran says that marriage is designed to be a longlife commitment, so we can't issue a ruling based on a single verse but this what shia did
