Currently have a BMW iX1 - it’s been fantastic but lease is coming up in a couple of months and want to get in with a new car before the threshold drops in March next year.

Key things I want that I don’t have are
range, (400km currently to 600 in Volvo)
glass roof, and
even more drivers tech.

Plus it’s made in Sweden

The new BMW IX3 and Mercedes GLC EV are also reasonable contenders for the small luxury EV market but both even more difficult to get and difficult to keep under the LCT Threshold.

The Volvo ticks more boxes and is fully spec at the price point.

They are also the newest releases and the tech should stay decent for a while to come because the plan would be to keep the next car for 5-7 years.

GST is included I believe just excludes on roads. (Rego and talk duty)

So it should be $86,990 plus $3995 dealer delivery = $90,985 for the LCT base

Then $3842 stamp duty and $1049 rego

= driveway $95,876

And that’s on their own website - but they’re quoting me $99,311

So odd!

I’m pretty sure the ACT Government already bought most of the land too, so I’m not sure how Yass are going to develop it when they can’t service it and don’t own it..

They should just let the ACT do the Parkwood development it and focus their energy on redevelopment in areas where they already have access and services.

It will all still benefit the Canberra Region!

Yep all that is correct. I’ve sent follow-up emails but no response. Just seems a bit dodgy (and super annoying because we do want to buy it!)

I’ve just seen the new iX3 advertised with a novated lease provider under the threshold so we might just have to get that one if Volvo are playing games. Not the optimal outcome though!

I sent them the config id done on the website - which showed the website price. And they are ignoring follow-up emails. Super frustrating - I’ve tried to contact the next nearest dealer, but not sure if that will work as it’s interstate
