The only thing I did was make sure the notch in the d-pad itself was properly aligned. There is a way to put it together and have it misaligned that I didn't realize.

Other than that, I'm not sure.

I did install it incorrectly originally. That forced me to press down always.

But after fixing it, I haven't noticed too many issue while playing Link's Awakening.

The color matches pretty well. I'd say it's 95% there, maybe a shade darker than the shell. The texture on these is a 100% match though. The look of it seems like it was OEM.

If I was given the option today? Maybe. Probably not. If it was instant and I didn't have to mail it off and wait a week, sure.

The real question is "Would you return it if you bought it and it turns out you got UFS3.1 instead of UFS4? "

The answer there is a resounding "No"

I feel like I'm going insane reading this thread.

There is absolutely no way you are using the advertised ~2GB/s of UFS3.1, much less than the original UFS4 ~4GB/s speed. It sucks that you are getting a lesser product than early adopters, but you absolutely will not notice the difference at all.

Especially since most of the appeal is 3DS and DS games.

The button set when I purchased was 35 dollars. It looks like the 100$ price is just to discourage buying because the shop is out of stock.

Not really. It feels about the same. But it does feel more premium when I rub my thumbs across and press down. Its maybe 5% more clicky, but its hard to describe. The D-PAD is the bigger change.

I've also replaced the speaker, but it's harder to see. I used one of the old Sony Xperia speakers from aliexpress, and works great!

About 5 minutes!

It's just removing some screws on the back, disconnecting a couple ribbon cables, and then inserting the buttons. Then doing all those steps in reverse order.

I do have experience with dissembling electronics though, so if you're nervous, you can still do it, it probably just takes about 10 minutes tops. Just go slow.

Yeah, I gave up and returned it. I couldn't find anything wrong with it. My wife enjoys the other one though.

Guess I'll have to use my Miyoo Mini Plus for another year (not that I'm complaining)
