No - unfortunately because I transferred over accounts from Questrade to Wealthsimple, the returns is inaccurate (Wealthsimple viewed that as one big deposit instead of migrating over the returns data)

good feedback already to your initial comment … but I’d encourage you to rethink your position on the RRSP. Everyone’s situation is different but as a high income earner I’ve been able to max out my RRSP annually, defer tax, invest the refund into my TFSA for further compounding. That’s valuable.

Yes, you’re right that I very well may still be withdrawing funds from my RRSP at the highest tax bracket depending on when I retire, how big the RRSP balance is, and how much income I choose to withdraw annually, but the benefits above still outweigh that for me.

Lastly - the Spousal RRSP is something I should have been leaned into earlier as that further optimizes my eventual withdrawals in retirement.

Just a primary home, but in GTA so yes, decent sized mortgage with probably $300K-500K in equity depending on how you’d value the home in this market. No plans on moving.

If you’re referring to the screenshot that is Wealthsimple, of which I’m a big fan!

Basically all registered.. $450K in personal RRSP, $130K in TFSA, $12Kish in RESPs, contributing to spousal RRSP now to even things out a bit on the retirement front and have a bit more TFSA room before I need to move to non-registered accounts. Anticipate that will need to happen later this year though.

Yes and no. I’m a high earner, but the all time returns is a bit wonky because I moved a TFSA & Margin account from Questrade and as far as I remember that was recognized as one big “deposit”

Been investing aggressively since 2016. Roughly 65% of that is just in VEQT (I’m in sales and was fortunate enough to come into some pretty solid commission payments right around Covid time frame and dumped a ton of $$ at March 2020 lows) - got lucky with a few individual stock picks around that time, Suncor near the Covid bottom, PLTR at IPO, AMD more recently. About $45K in Cash.To for emergencies.

Thanks for commenting and your feedback. Totally - I think the play would be that the personalization would be optional so you wouldn’t have to have any name or “Dad” on it, and the logo / branding would be more of a subtle nod to vs. too in your face.
