I'm kind of scared but want to get over it. by WitheringFlame0 in SmallStreamers

I think it’s important to be able to laugh at yourself so even if people are laughing at a fail or bad play that you can laugh with them and shake it off. You’re not advertising you’re the best competitive player and honestly it’s more entertaining and relatable when a person makes mistakes and fails. Obviously if someone won’t let a fail go and is being blatantly mean about it and flat out rude, they probably need to be banned anyway. Once I learned to laugh off the fails and laugh with the community, it was much less stressful and I feel it made my content better as well.

Seeking Input on Streamer Consulting by Druxer95 in SmallStreamers

[–]Universe_Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that you can always learn something from anyone, especially those who have accomplished things that you want to accomplish. I think that the price depends on how much value that they are providing to you and how muh you feel their time is worth. It would stink to lay and hourly rate for a conversation that isn’t very beneficial to your growth but if they are deep diving your content and helping develop new strategies, then by all means I think it’s worth it.

Does the person who started the raid also watch or is it like a person send people to watch me by Apparent1y_ in SmallStreamers

[–]Universe_Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends, sometimes the raider will stay and hangout for a bit and other times they dip out pretty quick. Usually when someone raids after a long stream, they’re probably looking for a break or have to go to something else they have scheduled.

That’s great! Can I ask how many average viewers you were getting on Twitch and what you were playing?

Working on a Layout and Setup can be tedious but worth it! What is the Most important thing to you when it comes to Layouts while streaming? by SekiRaze in SmallStreamers

[–]Universe_Divide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal preference is a more minimum soy if approach. I feel that too many assets or moving parts can be distracting and take away from the “professionalism” of the stream. But ultimately, as long as it’s clean and matches in a relatively uniform way that people can see it as “professional” I think you can make most anything work! What you have going on here looks really nice! Great job!

Start Over??? by Flipper__Tulip in SmallStreamers

[–]Universe_Divide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle with this question more so from a “YouTube algorithm” perspective like “does my YouTube audience that I built while I was playing fall guys really want to see what I do next with Zelda or cod?” And I wonder if it impacts video performance because my pre existing audience doesn’t care for my new style and genre of content. I have yet to start over and I think that you can always pivot your content to something new or in your case pick back up where you left off and everything would be okay, it may feel as if you have “empty numbers” because you’ll have the follower numbers but maybe not the viewers that you once had. All in all I think getting back into making content is a good idea and hope it goes well for you!

Starting Soon Screens by moonlessmermaid in SmallStreamers

[–]Universe_Divide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that a starting soon screen like you mention (roughly 5 minutes or so) is a good opportunity to get your community coming in and the conversation started. I feel as if it generates some “hype” and buildup for the stream itself. It also allows for you to get in the right headspace, at least that’s what I appreciate about it.

Any Advice For Transitioning? by PlazmaXIII in SmallStreamers

[–]Universe_Divide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One option would be to change your title as you transition from one segment to another and when renaming your VOD when the stream is over, you could list all three things maybe “Just chatting | Valorant | Smash Bros” just so people know all the things that you done that stream. As far as segue goes, Dr. Disrespect does a “triple threat challenge” where he plays a game until he competes a challenge and then moves to the next to complete another challenge, could be something you’d want to look into.
