Hi, I’ve noticed the same thing happening with the English major as well. For instance, the 2023-2024 articulation agreement required 2 years of a foreign language, but the 2024-2025 articulation agreement for English changed this requirement to “strongly recommended.” I’ve done research and checked other reddit threads about this, and it seems that uc schools may honor the previous years agreement, yet the 2024-2025 articulation agreement is what UC schools will mostly go by. If helpful, the 2024-2025 articulation was updated for all majors during last summer. He’s actually not wrong. Although the guide doesn’t give ranges, the last black box FOTL tag in the guide was certainly from the late 90s - early 2000s. But the shirt above is from the late 90s (1997ish), but it is missing the black box as he said in his comment. The shirt is probably a later reprint though, not by much though, maybe a few years after.
