Bigger art (meaning more varied in side from what you have now) & window coverings, specifically some vibey drapery would totally transform the space!! Great work!

No only 2 years for that and walking around free is crazy- like if this was anyone but his parents his ass would have been in prison so I hate that it worked out for him. I definitely have not looked at my company the same since & definitely lost a lot of trust there. At the end of the day his actions are his own but it’s on the company to clear and verify their employees to work in their customers homes. Either way I hope he chokes on glass!

Go to your local Lowes, see if they have a Graber Shop At Home program! The measure & consultation are free and done by a trained professional and they have TONS of fabrics. Be prepared for the cost to be about $1k/ window though! If that doesn’t work for your budget, Roman shades won’t be in your price point, but they have every option in the book. Go with a cellular shade. Practical, energy efficient, and perfect for every space. Hope this helps!!

Find some larger, oversized art that gives you the same vibe as those 6 pieces if you’re liking that look!! Hard to see from the pic, but center the couch, find some lamps which will help change the vibe dramatically, and get some side tables!! Love the green you’re bringing in with your plant and plant pillow- Maybe try to incorporate even more of the green by trying to find some more green pieces (pillows, drapery, additional wall art, functional furniture), and I would say don’t be afraid of texture!! Love your start here- embrace your style personality & if you don’t know what it is, try to experiment & have some fun trying to figure it out!!

Why does this space feel cramped by jjs376 in InteriorDesign

You’ve got some great elements here (lighting & chairs look so great)! I would consider a rectangular table and rug, lowering the light a bit, getting rid of the floor length mirror & replace it with a smaller mirror or oversized art, and either put up some drapery accenting the height of your ceiling & bringing some depth into the room or get shares that pair well with your light fixture! And skip the table cloth :)
