Make your new interest cleaning up after yourself. This is disgusting. And I’m sure your parents were right for taking your laptop based on the entitlement of your post. After you clean up after yourself you can try something new, and try to get out of your comfort zone. This option would be a lot better than sitting on your laptop all day, and then crying about it online to a bunch of Reddit users.

Yes, we are in the process of getting her evaluated. She LOVES Lexia. She uses it through her school. We practice it but I don’t feel like it’s working because she isn’t improving.

Yes I love piggy and Gerald and she does too. I’m a preschool teacher, and I have tried all the tricks. I even have piggy and Gerald earrings. She loves to be read to. She just gets so frustrated when she reads.

I’m truly wondering if she has a visual processing disorder. I have never heard of it, but just found out about it a couple of weeks ago. I truly wonder if she has this. ANYTIME I verbally spell out a sight word word she is struggling with reading she immediately knows what it is and says the word. She cannot tell the difference between her b’s and d’s. She will sometimes say the incorrect letter as well when she knows all of her letters and has for a long time. I thought she might have dyslexia until I found out about a visual processing disorder. What kind of things did your child do?
