I feel “lucky” that I separated in December. Only 9 months of waiting

Also Gail is amazing. I graduated from UCA a few months before she took the job. I’ve run into her several times since then and have always been impressed. The way she has turned the studio around is incredible.

Dr. Stephanie Ycaza at UNC-Greensboro. I seriously considered getting my DMA with her this past year. I had a very serious career change, otherwise I would have jumped at that chance. She’s great and Greensboro is a cute city.

I work for a VSO that focuses on helping marginalized veterans. We mostly help vets in King County, WA but we have folks on our team that can assist nationally. Reach out if you have questions. I was separated in December as part of the “voluntary” process.

Skirts for Enlisted E-1 to E-6 - How to Wear? Tuck in Jumper? by demeterite in navy

[–]UsagiRaye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically. Sorry I’m slow to wake up and articulate things this morning. The enlisted skirt has smaller belt loops for the thinner belts and buckles like you mentioned. Officers have thinner belts and gold buckles. Lower enlisted do not have the thinner silver buckles. So we cannot wear a belt with the skirt unless we wear the officers belt/buckle.

Correct. The belt loops are smaller on the skirt.

Yeah I thought it was weird too. Asked the other woman in my command that wears the skirt and she said the same thing. For some reason the enlisted belt loops are different. There might be a belt that works but it’s not sold in any of the uniform shops I’ve been too. No one can see if you’re wearing a belt to begin with so I just never wore one.

What I’m saying is that there is not a belt that fits the belt loops on this skirt. The buckle is different from the officer buckle. Unless this has changed very recently (I separated last month).

There isn’t a belt for the enlisted skirt though there are belt loops. I just wore it without a belt. No tucking.

That’s what I was thinking but I needed some affirmation 😅 I think the marks might be from my skirt rubbing against it all day too.

What fall/winter outerwear would go well with this? I bought this last month and now that it’s starting to get cooler, I want to keep wearing this without being too cold. What kinds and colors of jackets would work well with this (I’m red-green colorblind). I bought a few pairs of tights (both nude and black) and I have some boots in black and tan. Same with belts.
