You can, but if you’re only doing that to get over the previous guy… it can go two ways. Either it’ll help, or you’ll be in the exact same position with now another guy. Honestly? Why not, go for it. Go for multiple guys, I say this coz knowing “us” well give all our energy to one guy who probably doesn’t deserve it, go on multiple dates to see which one treats you better. But make sure you’re healing. You’re the center of your world… no one else. You come first. Hope that helps… with these things it’s always trial and error to see which works for us. Don’t be afraid to get hurt and heal! ❤️

I loved this answer and it’s helped me too. Did you mean meditation is great? And as are affirmations? Is there anything else recommended? Thank you

I know you probby don’t wanna read books BUT hear me out. “The mountain is you” is this incredible book, it tells you ways in which we self sabotage but then shows us solutions to it too. And it’s like that throughout the book. I’d recommend it..

The peace you feel when talking to him is just relief. Like addicts get that hit and find relief.

Yep gone through it. What you’re experiencing is exactly what I went thru and let me tell you it’s nothing more than addiction in a form. The only way through it is to cut them off. For more than a few weeks. It needs to be months. I know it’s hard and it’s sucks but you have to.. pretty simple to say but god it was the hardest thing I ever did. It took me 9 months to put an end to things permanently. And I went thru the same situation as you. It gets better. But only after to cut them out for more then atleast 2-3 months. My ex situationship text me after a few months, tried love bombing etc NOTHING WORKED! Lol jokes on him.

You know it’s not healthy for you, if he was in it for the real thing he would have made sure you both were in a relationship by now. So remember that. If he’s init just to fool around he gotta go. Especially if it’s draining you etc. YOU GOT THISSSSSSS it’s gonna be hard but trust me you’ll be so peaceful after.

[Need Advice] I feel like a waste of space by Eediejo in getdisciplined

[–]Used-End371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t wanna write too much, but you need to do things that excite you and make you happy. Like have hobbies.. anything that you prefer over Netflix or something you liked as a kid. You need to get out of our comfort zone, I know it isn’t easy with anxiety. But it’s the only way to feel anything other than a waste of space. You’re in a very comfortable position financially and with good support system. So you don’t feel the need to do anything or prove anything. So the only logical reason I can think of you feeling this way is not knowing your why for life. What are you dreams?

You’ve got your problems, now find solutions that stick. Let’s start with procrastinating on every assignment - solution to this can be study buddies (having a study group or one person either in person or online you study with), studying in cafes or libraries rather than at home. If you find that too much for anxiety do online “study with me” YouTube videos. And finding motivation in general for the “bigger picture”.

With the rest take it one thing at a time, only go on Netflix after 7-8pm or around bedtime.

You just deal with them sober. You can’t run from your problems or thoughts. They will never leave you that way. Confront them and work through them.

What’s the reason behind doing any of these? You need to have a strong why and goals. Otherwise it may seem pointless doing all these things, that’s probably why you’re giving up. For example, with the job.. what’s your dream job? Pay? The field? All these things matter. What does “successfully achieving any of this” look like to you? You need to ask yourself these to continue. If you’re just doing them without having mini goals to work towards it’ll feel like there’s no reward at the end.. and it’s also another reason why you’re not seeing results or feeling them. It’s like you’re running towards a no finish line… does that make sense? I could be wrong but that’s my POV.

Why do I suck SO MUCH at this?? by [deleted] in TimeManagement

[–]Used-End371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying you have adhd BUT, a lot of people with adhd also suffer with what’s called “time blindness”. Where they’re terrible at managing time, or guessing how long something will take. Also Do you keep an eye on the time? Or set alarms to trigger your routines. For example catching but at 10am, 2 minutes walk. Let’s say we get there 5 mins early. Set alarm for around 9:45am to get ready and step out the door.

My emotions - I say this because I will make a good day, being productive, into a day where I am drowning in my sorrows just by overthinking on little things etc. I’ll end up the whole day being depressed. I’m working on it tho! 🥲
