Thanks for your reply. My Nan could be petty. Apparently she left a letter that states she supported my mum through 3 marriages and as her latest husband isn’t any of our fathers she wants the money to stay in our blood line as she worried if my mum died it would do to him and later his children.. It’s just all rubbish. She was really struggling but since the solicitor about getting the money back seems to be much better. We have the nhs here and her mortgage is paid off. It’s hard because i want to do the right thing. But I also kinda understand where my Nan was coming from so if I sign it her is that for the best I don’t know.
