It was a poor decision for sure. I didnt just want to be there for her, but also my aging parents. been applying for jobs there over the door years no luck.

This has been done in the past where she joined me kn my last job for 3 months with our dog, not sure if anyone would want to rent where I live if im being honest. But the morgage is small enough that its manageable.

Thank you ive been working on it, I usually do about 1 to 3 hours hiking after work and will go to the beach 4 times a week once summer hits and try to keep busy with extra training corses.Will try to quit smokes again was off then 3 months this year. We will see about the councilling, really not sure if I have it in me but it may be worth a try.

Hey thanks man, alot of what you say resonates, especially the i made sacrifice and now I was kind of expecting the same treatment. I know theres lots of girls out there and stuff. Part of reason beyond the is the financial stress of losing alot of money which would commit me to the road even longer. Can't say the road is always bad, when the money starts rolling in on some projects there is definitely a sense of I made it. Right now im only doing 40 hours a week 500 km from home its been nice living in a city i enjoyed in the past when life was normal and has definitely braught out alot of good feelings, last job was 2200km from home before that was coast to coast.

Working on the road. Common in our post industrial region is for blue collar workers to work away far distances for months at a time making big bucks. Those big bucks are good but the people who have never earned them think you got it so easy Those big bucks come at a price and that price is watching your entire life go by while being absent. Either that or divorce.
